We went in the very bottom of the low season - but that's how we roll.

Barbara was great - well-informed, friendly, a great mellow driver (on roads upon which it's appreciated), and very put-together. The Coromandel walk itself is wonderful, and Strongman tours has a great little operation up there. Some people said "it's expensive." Rubbish. For the [not driving yourself and seeing nothing but road], the guidance, the information and commentary - it's worth it. Unless, perhaps, you plan to camp up there. Seriously fun. A+++. Good stuff. Niiiice.
