Beach Front Camping Ground
Beautiful, remote campground.
Facilities very basic, with longdrop toilet, open-air cold shower and drinking water. However, everything clean, and with an awesome beach. You can watch the sunrise over Coromandel from your tent! I'd definitely recommend it.

Whangaroa Harbour Holiday Park
I needed a place to put up my tent for 1 night when passing through, and for that it was okay.
Unfortunately, the place is really run down and I would never go there for a holiday. The three points are only for the hot shower, the mowed lawn and the funny owner, who was so nice to offer a ride.
However, everything's dirty and there's no common area inside for when it's raining.

Hihi Beach Holiday Park
I came here only for a one-night stopover, but ended up staying longer because I just didn't wanna leave.
All the facilities are brand new, really clean and very well equipped. The owners are really nice and helpful, and the peaceful setting by the beach is really relaxing. I would definitely come here also for a holiday!
