Amazing (for the price)!
This is a backpacker place. Small cabins ($20pp) or camping $10pp. They have clean, hot showers, a kitchen (with power outlets), laundry facilities ($2wash/$2 dry), and a bar. What more could you ask for? If you're looking for 5*, keep looking, but if you are a backpacker on a budget, this is the place for you! (Some people do live in cabins and work in the morning, but there is a grassy lot across the street if you really need it). Friendly staff, friendly residents, and really cool bar!!

White Horse Hill Campground
Came in winter, expecting decent facilities, and was highly disappointed.
All the water has been shut off for winter, this includes the bathrooms. There is one almost over flowing porta loo. The campground is in an amazing location! But facilities are awful in winter. Not worth $10, but there are no other options.

Wow! Best camping area in New Zealand!
(After 2 months of camping). Magnificent! Super friendly owner, Don. Wonderful, well kept campground and sites! Cleanest drop toilet I've seen! Next to the river! Absolutely amazing!!
