It's very clean but lacks of grass and green spaces, trees and shade.
Too many vehicles on it on very small spaces available for each one. Also, too many trailers with boats going in and out and clean the salt from the engines. Not to mention the constant boing-boing-boing from the jumping pillow, from 9am to 8.30pm. The pool is nice, with heated water on it, and there are a few bbq to use in a covered area. They rent go karts (pedals powered) and you have to be careful as there are many kids using them along with the real cars.

Broken Hills Campsite
Lovely place, great nature and surroundings, peaceful river to play at, many choices of interesting walking tracks, very quiet.
Kind of expensive for the services provided. The road to get there is in very good condition.

Sea View Camping Ground
Nice view to the sea, on a 5 minutes walk to reach it.
Basic toilets and water (no drinking sign on it, so not sure if you can drink it or not). Almost all spaces are inclined so not easy to find a great spot to camp. There are no towns nearby so be careful with your food and fuel. The grass was very high being quite annoying to walk on it.

Seabreeze Holiday Park
Nice and friendly people, close to many well-known beaches.
Would be better to have more trees to provide some shade. Has a cozy TV room and an eating area. With a nice restaurant with homebrew beer. There is also a small playground for the kids.

Dickson Holiday Park
Great lovely place next to the mountains and very close to Thames.
Lots of grass and vegetation, many trees for shade and a lovely river next to it. A simple but very clean pool and a playground for the kids with a mini golf. Also a basic market in the reception to buy something you missed. Great walking tracks and close to the beach.

Muriwai Beach Campground
Nice place to stay.
Bathrooms with showers. Kitchen and laundry. Great beaches and walking tracks. Don't miss the Gannet colony! Also the manager, Steve, is very friendly.
