Lake Ōkaro Reserve
The place is beautiful, and so quiet you can see ducks swimming and hear birds!
You can park on the yard just in front of the lake so that's gorgeous with the sunrise. Toilets were a bit dirty with so much flies, no water to wash our hands so for a pay campsite, it will be great to have clean toilets et water. BBQ were out of order.

Hipapatua / Reid's Farm Recreation Reserve Free Campsite
Nice place to sleep on the yard.
Many people there, but the space is large so you can find easily a park for your van. But at the same time don't go to late or you will need to walk 5min to go to the toilets from where you were parked
