Extremely disappointing experience with Europcar in Auckland.

We were given a vehicle with a deflating tyre, which is a serious safety issue—especially considering we were travelling with a toddler and I was pregnant at the time. This could have easily resulted in a dangerous situation.

When we raised the issue, Europcar refused to take responsibility or reimburse us for the cost of repairing the tyre. Even more frustrating, it took them four months to respond to our complaint, and when they did, our concerns were not taken seriously at all.

We had purchased premium insurance, yet it was never made clear that tyre damage wouldn’t be covered. This lack of transparency added to an already stressful situation.

Overall, we are extremely disappointed. Safety should be a priority for any rental company, and in our experience, it clearly was not. We would not recommend Europcar to others.
