I’ve been coming to this campground for about ten years and it’s always had its ups and downs, mostly depending on who’s managing it at the time.
Every time management changes, the whole vibe changes too.
What used to be one of the most peaceful campsites in the country now gets spoiled by people blasting music through speakers. Instead of hearing the waves, you’re stuck listening to someone else’s playlist.
It used to be simple. If you were in a group and wanted music, you camped further back on the grass. If you wanted peace, you stayed by the beach. These days, it only takes one loud group to wreck the weekend and make the long drive feel pointless.
This place used to be a real gem. No kitchen and paid hot showers never bothered anyone. But without firm management setting clear expectations, it’s not the same anymore.
If peace and quiet is what you’re after, there are better places to camp now.
PS: do not bother calling them. They do not pick up the phone calls
