Had a mediocre stay here recently.

We got moved to a site way smaller than the one we booked which wasn’t big enough for our tent. We made it work by overhanging to neighbouring site by 1m. We then got hassled daily from the management telling us to remove our tent. Given that the management moved us to a smaller site than the one we had paid for, it seemed quite unreasonable only them to them tell me I had to take my tent down as we were encroaching on the neighbouring site.

The whole campground is tiny, sites are minuscule in comparison to other NZ campgrounds and it seems that as it’s owned by Aussies, it’s lost the personal feel. I would stay there again but only for 2 nights max and I would only take a 2 man tent due to the tiny size of the pitches.
