Nice location by the river, walking distance to Huka falls but no restaurants or shops nearby.

Much of the area is uneven ground and possibly muddy after periods of rain. We had a look but opted to stay in Taupo town centre where freedom camping is permitted, (unrestricted parking is available). Be sure to check the council website which provides a map of the where freedom camping is not allowed and where unrestricted parking zones are.
