Basic but fine. 2 drop toilets only, no other amenities. Lots of space and very quiet to fall asleep to. Lots of open space around and not too many bugs. No service there

Decent spot, nice near the beach and very quiet to fall asleep to.
Got pretty busy from about 7pm onwards. 2 portaloos and 1 picnic bench only. Meant to be out by 9am but no one seems to adhere to this and no authorities enforcing this. Would stay again - way better sleep here than in the centre of Dunedin!!

Toilets are a bit of a walk from where the designated camping is but they are clean enough - lots of sandflies though!
All grass spaces so not good if it’s been raining lots. Very close to the water, nice and quiet to fall asleep to

Does what it says.
It’s quiet, not too busy and has bins. No other amenities. Close to the beach. A good night sleep.

Worst night sleep of our 5 week trip.
Reviews made it sound fine but the trains were non stop all night (Monday night) and not just a slight rumble background noise - extremely loud, metal grinding, shake the van, wake you with a shock kinda noise. We went somewhere else for our 2nd night in Dunedin after this place left us completely sleep deprived. Toilets are 2 portaloos, pretty dirty but there is sink access and bins. Would really not recommend despite the convenience in the city centre.
