A lovely free camping spot by the beach.

Fabulous sunrise views. Good safe swimming beach. Two basic public toilets and a cold outdoor shower. There is an excellent coffee cart at the north end of the carpark.

The carpark can fill up early but other freedom camping spots are all along Marine Parade. Not permitted to overnight here Friday or Saturday nights but there are plenty of park-up spots all along the beach side of Marine Parade all the way from North Beach to Waimairi Beach.
