Mangahuia Campsite
Nice campsite, super close to Whakapapa village.
Shelter with running water for you to boil and surfaces for cooking on. Not super clear on where to pitch a tent and you had to park your car in the car park - this wouldn’t have been an issue had it not been a very rainy day ! We pitched our tent near the shelter and it was a lovely spot.

Lake Ōkāreka Campsite
Beautiful campsite !
A shelter for cooking under, two clean toilets, incredible views of the lake. Fellow campers were all respectful and Les the ranger was super friendly and helpful. Recommend a dip in the lake in the morning to wake you up !
