Beautiful Coromandel walkway very near by and stunning views on the other side of the hill.

I would not recommend for first time campers or those who go with very small kids (if you are driving from Auckland). The drive is thrilling and pumps adrenaline. The drive is little risky. Hence plan ahead as the last 30 or

so Kms to Fletcher Bay after Coromandel is hilly gravel road and you can drive only at 25-30 Km/hr. Better take a 4-wheel drive if you still want to try. Its worth every penny.....
