We live in one of the residences close to this site.
55 cars were parked along the road. Some blocking entrances. Others parked on private road verges which are temporarily fenced off. If a conservative average of 2 people per car then maybe over 120 people camping. FAR TOO MANY CARS, AND PEOPLE- more than the existing toilets can handle. We’ve seen people urinating in the car park, in the camping area, brushing teeth, getting dressed ( fully naked in view of our young children) in the car park. Some people leave their rubbish even.
Most people respect the area and the rules but this new year 2022 we’ve seen it the worst. It seems to be getting worse.
This is DOC administered area and we hardly see DOC people here monitoring it
