We heard about the Whanganui while camping up at Tongariro, and decided to see if a spur-of-the-moment canoe trip could be arranged.

We chose Yeti after calling several outfitters - Yeti phone response to our many questions was excellent. We've both worked as river outfitters ourselves here in the States, so we know professionalism when we meet it. The Yeti quality continued through each step of our freedom rental. Yeti had great gear, great service, and the Whanganui journey became one of the highlights of our 3 months in NZ. Highly recommend Yeti Tours...and don't miss this river. It was wonderful!
