Mangatangi Trig Camping Ground

A very basic dirt floor shelter, the roof of which is used to collect water for the tank. The water must be boiled for 5 minutes before consumption, and a toilet is available at the campsite.
The Mangatangi reservoir is NZ's largest water supply dam, and popular with fly fishers on the hunt for Rainbow trout.
