We had an amazing night here. Kevin was an incredible host. The facilities were great- the bathroom facilities felt like a fancy hotel! So clean and modern. Kevin made 3 separate trips taking guests to the glowworms for free. It's clear he cares about his guests and their experience. In Summer, he will stay up until midnight to do this rather than having his guests driving campers individually to them.
It's a small campsite compared to others but when chatting to Kevin, this was a purposeful decision. A smaller campsite means they can keep up such high standards.
Would recommend to everyone!

This was our first stop at a holiday park ever and we definitely recommend this one highly. Kevin and Julian are the nicest couple on earth. They provide invaluable guidance and the place is just spitzenklasse - everything new and clean, and you can simply feel them caring. Obviously, we didn't try the other ones nearby, but we don't feel the need to try them.

One of the best places of our trip! The owners are so friendly and helpful, feels like home there. They even have apples, milk and tea for free. Facilities and kitchen are brand new and very very clean. Thank you Kevin and Julian for the great tips and recommendations for NZ you gave us! Loved it! Greetings from Eva & Florian

Definitely recommend staying here. The place is small and new and run by a lovely welcoming couple. The main facility area in the middle feels a little like home; very comfy and warm, kitchen is fully equipped and you can buy fresh eggs from their farm. The bathroom has a shower ($2 for 5 mins, bring $2 coins) with a bath mat (such a luxury!) and hand towels - very homey. The couple were quick to recommend places to us around Hokitika and in the evening they were sitting around with guests giving them recommendations and tips for the rest of their trip around the South Island. The grass areas are all flat and soft for camping on too. Will definitely come back!

This is the only review I have felt compelled to write. By far and away, the best campsite we have ever stayed at in NZ. Facilities are exceptional and incredibly clean. Free WiFi, hot showers (small charge) laundry, immaculate kitchen with all equipment. Lovely touches such as book swap, board games and farm fresh eggs. The hosts were so eager to please and full of great advice about our onward travel. They deserve the custom; TIP - stay here and pay the $17pp (unpowered) rather than driving to the nearby DOC camp for $13pp and have a 100% better experience.

A very lovely campground, new showers en toilets, very nice living room/kitchen area (alsof brand new). Next to the road, but its very quiet at night. Its not the most scenic place we have been in New Zealand, but the owners are very friendly, you feel at home. They do everything to make your stay pleasant. In the evening Kevin drives you to a glowworm cave, he is a funny guy, he built the campsite with his wife. Highly recommend this place 10/10

Arrived quite late at the campsite but got the friendliest welcome from Jules! Had a little tour of the facilities and wow they’re beautiful! No shoes allowed in the kitchen area which leads through to the ladies toilet/shower and it’s such a great idea. Haven’t seen any facilities that clean and that lovely, really felt like a home away from home after all this travelling (we’re from the UK!). Would definitely recommend, thank you!

Very friendly couple! And very nice facilities. So good, that we don’t want to stay at the free campsite just down the road! Ample space, free range eggs for sale, big and powerful BBQ, (one of them reserved for pizza only) kitchen with tea and coffee and milk in the fridge. The husband came to check that everything was all good at our tent site. And he took several campers, including my group for a drive to the glow worm caves at 10:00 that night! And the wife gave us salve when she saw our sandfly bites. They really go above and beyond with the hospitality. Showers are $2 for 5mins, but it’s not an inconvenience at all. Will definitely stay again. And for longer next time! Thanks a bunch guys

This was the best campsite we have been in all New-Zeeland. We immediately were welcomed by the owner Kevin and his wife, due to this warm atmosphere it reminded us of home. The facilities were amazing, very clean, BBQ, coffee and tea, ... On the morning he brought us for breakfast free range eggs and zucchinis. Thanks a lot, greetings from Belgium!!!!!

We went there because of the good reviews and I agree with the previous comments. However, it was pretty busy when we were there and for the amount of people we found the facilities too small. Eg there is only one shower for females and males plus an extra one that both can use (and you have to pay for it). The kitchen / living area is also quite small eg only one sink and stove. So probably better to go there outside of the peak season.

I stayed 2 nights at this campsite.
The comfort and friendliness of the place, the availability of the owners are just perfect.
The place is clean, we believe in our living room. It's very nice.
Kevin offers us and advises us perfectly on the activities of the region (possibilities to rent a bike) and brings us with great pleasure every evening to go see the glow worms.
Showers are $ 2
Washing machines and dryer at $ 4 (but possibility to relax the laundry)
For one person, with my car not sc, I paid $ 17
I recommend

Unreal welcome! Made to feel right at home even with the Irish digs haha. Lovely kitchen, class living room. The fella will take groups to a little glowworm haven each night for free out of the goodness of his Kiwi heart. You can buy loveky eggs for very cheap and milk for tea and coffee was provided... The people make the place and this pair of campground owners set the bar very high!

We have been travelling around New Zealand for 3 Weeks in a Campervan with a seven month old infant now and changed campsites nearly every day. We felt always welcome and most of the time all staff or owners tried to help us or give us good advises.
But when we arrived at Linksview they set the bar to an other level.
The Campsite looks still very new and everything is well maintained. The sides are not the biggest we have had, but it was absolute fine for our 7,2m Campervan. Toilets and Shower are perfectly clean and they even had real towels for your hands after washing.
When we arrived, we thought it might bother us, that the side is quiet close to the highway, but in the end we did not even notice it!
The kitchen and the living room were so nice, we felt really like we were sitting in someone’s living room. You have to take your shoes off in there so the nice carpet stays as wonderful as it is. In the morning the owner and his wife turned up again and we just chatted in the living room for nearly an hour. And you get fresh egg’s from their own chicken for breakfast!
Absolutely perfect! We hope the places stays like it is. Especially our little baby enjoyed crawling on the carpet in the huge living room, so please keep the place like it is.
P.S.: If you are going to Hokitika for jade shopping, check out the wilderness gallery from Juergen Schake! Very nice gallery with great things to buy and a very friendly owner.

Really lovely place run by a lovely couple. $17/night for an unpowered site for a single person. Nice communal kitchen and bathrooms areas. The owners bring in fresh eggs from their chickens in the morning and have a supply of coffee and tea around. Kevin also offered to drive a number of us off to see the glow worm dell (not to be missed, a really excellent glow worm site!). Clean eveything and they take a lot of pride in their site. Showers are $2/4min which makes me a bit sad but this is balanced out by the overall excellence of the place. Definitely a great stop.

New facilities, super clean. Amenities are like a hotel room, lounge, kitchen, laundry, toilet & showers. We were offered free fruit, coffee, milk and eggs during our time their. Best park we have stayed at in NZ. Same price as everywhere else we stayed. Our hosts were fabulous, Kevin couldn't do enough to help. He showed us around, made sure we had everthing we needed. Keven also played tour guide, gave us some excellent pointers and helped us plan our next leg of our journey. Had an excellent stay here, pitty it was only one night.

This park is right next to the road.. We found it without even trying very hard. It is close to the Hokitika Gorge and town.. Our hosts Kelvin and Julian were pretty warm and welcoming. We also met their adorable dog Nike.

Kelvin gave us travel tips and suggestions.. He also took us to see the glow-worm at night and to the beach. We had so much fun riding in the car with the other guests who joined the outting.

Kelvin and Julian also gave us lots of Golden kiwi fruits that came from their friend's farm up north. We had so much Kiwi and it lasted us the entire trip - i kid you not.

We had a lovely time there! Would definitely head that way again should we ever be in South Island again!

Linksview Holiday Park helped us a lot. We arrived late at night. The owner was waiting for us in the parking area in cold weather. He briefed us about all facilities in his holiday park and he guided us on how to use the facilities in our campervan. Also, we met a problem in our campervan and called him in the early morning. He rushed to the campsite to help us solve the problem in the campervan. Besides this, he treats guests with some fruit and eggs.
The campsite is quite new, clean and safe, we felt so lovely with the decoration and it was comfortable.

Definitely one of the best camp sites in West Coast South Island! Feels like our second home in Hokitika.

Kevin is a fab and warming host, giving us the opportunity to connect with an experienced and knowledgable local, and took great care of us like friends.

It started with the best recommendation where to get delicious fish-n-chips in town, welcoming us with the best tasting golden kiwis we have ever had (we have tried plenty already during our 25 days travels here), NZ apples, clean/warming/spotless facilities, fresh eggs in the morning, coffee/tea, and even packed a huge bag of golden kiwis for us to enjoy on the journey!

If you get the chance, do not miss out this gem, and make sure to chat with Kevin. His advices/recommendations on where to go/visit is even better than the traveling books we have. We are now on the way to all the places he has introduced us to!

We would definitely stay longer if we have more days in the travels. A must and bookmark for our next visit to Hokitika!

Please take good care of the place and say hi to Kevin for us!
