Don is the most wonderful host we have met during our first 1.5 weeks in NZ. He welcomed us with fresh vegetables from his organic garden. And later brought us some fresh peaches. The sites are spacious and each has its own water-tap and picnic table. There is even an electrical point where you can charge your electrical devices. The view across the river is fantastic. Would definitely recommend this place.
We have got the last place today what an opportunity! I'm sitting close to the river and and enjoying that amazing moment in the darkness with all that nature noises, absolutely lovely place, by the way totally clean toilet and powerstations to charge batteries.
By far the most beautiful and welcoming campsite we've visited in NZ. Very clean and well maintained, with the least smelly composting toilet I've ever come across. Who needs showers when you have the most serene and cleansing river mere steps away. It was a cold afternoon for us but the water was surprisingly not too chilly. There is a diverse organic garden available to pick and choose from too. We're changing our plans just to return here!

The place to be before you die ... Stunning view over Motueka River. Water taps on each campsite, plug sockets for the community to recharge your stuff. Vegies and herbs coming directly out of the garden of the camp manager Don.
I dont think the service provided by rankers could be beaten by any other company on the island, They are always helpful and very polite.
Your New Zealand trip isn't complete without a night here. Set at a water hole, free wifi, clean eco-friendly toilet, comfy grassy spots to lie around and the best thing - Don! We had great conversations with Don and left with a huge basket of organic goodies from his garden and a dose of inspiration.
This is the cleanest, neatest, veggiest (:-) camp spot we could find in all of New Zealand. The fact that it's free is an added bonus. Unfortunately, we just went shopping before, so we could not take any more vegetables from Don's well organized veggie patch. He's a great humorous guy who likes to talk - so if you're the grumpy kind of guy who's not talkative, this might not be the best match. Enjoy your stay if you can get a spot. This place is a true gem.
The most beautiful campsite I've been to! Pristine river and mountain views with fruit trees scattered around and an impressive vege patch. Don is more than generous with everything he has to offer on his property. Really great guy! He's not lying when he says it fills up quick - especially around peak season. Get in early, have an afternoon swim and secure a spot. Thanks for everything Don!

Amazing place, specially due to the lovely welcome from Don. But also because it's at the edge of a beautiful river and you have everything you need, and it's tidy and clean. Don also offered vegetables from his garden to us! A place to take care of and respect. More than grateful :) nice to know there is people like Don in this world!
This camping site is run by an absolute legend of the camping game who goes by the name of Don. We spent our entire time in New Zealand using the Rankers NZ Camping App and by luck stumbled into the man and myth himself who actually created the App. Upon entry to the campsite he offered free WiFi, free reign at his vegetable garden and great advice for the remaining days of our trip through the Abel Tasman National Park - all for the small cost of a few paragraphs worth of honest reviews that would help the NZ Rankers Camping App have a more substantial basis for its reviews of camping sites and activities.
The very best place to stay in the Southern Hemisphere.
Unbelievable! When we talk to friends and family at home, we always mention the Rankers Koha. Wifi, swimming hole, power, super friendly, what more could you want? 2 year old son picked strawberries with the caretaker. Amazing.
Such a hidden gem. Lucky enough we got the last spot for the night. It was like home. Amazing.
