There’s surprisingly little for campers in Auckland, and although basic, this was exactly what we needed- very secure, quiet enough and close to a station for access to the city. There’s only fresh water, and a super friendly host, Mark, plus plenty of rabbits, space on grass for the kids to play football and a view over the mangrove and water. This site is only suitable for genuinely self contained vehicles, not Jucy and estate cars masquerading as such, and the owner has to enforce that. It was $20 per night which we think is entirely reasonable for the city. As an aside we highly recommend dinner at The Landing, about 10 min drive away. We used the dump station facilities at Mobil Wiri on our way to the airport for drop off.

Really good spot. Exactly as described. Mark is a really nice man and very helpful with Interesting Storys.
Used it as last spot before departure.
If you need a Easterbunny visit there 😁

Easy to find. Used as first night stop over to get to grips with campervan. No facilities but then we hadn't expected any. Water is available though.Had pick of where to park up as no one else there. Only 10 minute walk from Otohutu train station to Auckland. Mark the owner was very friendly and gave helpful information. Yes it is on an industrial estate but not noisy.
Our final night in NZ.
Good location to stay for either first or last night in NZ or for a visit to Auckland.
Yes it is in an industrial place but its secure and easy access to the airport or trains to Auckland. Owner had a good contact for taxi to the airport.
Fill up with water, no toilet dump or waste. A basic stop over.
Ideal location for us on our last night to clean out the motorhome ready for the new owners.
Only us on site.
$15 so cheap overnight parking in Auckland with no worries.
had a nice talk with the owner. This is not a FREEDOM CAMPER spot as too many people were misbehaving.
At Beach Road, Otahuhu - Overnight Campervan Parking responds:
As a residential property, there are no camp ground or motor facilities. The property is conveniently located and offers secure overnight parking, with pleasant estuary views, for fully self contained camper vans and motor homes.
Camper vans must have a built in toilet / shower cubicle and waste tanks to park overnight.
A really good location for us as we were returning a hired camper early the next morning.
As others have said, the owner is very nice and helpful. In the short space of time that I spoke with him I discovered that he is a leading expert on the 1950s produced Rootes-Lister TS3 Diesel engine! If you need any spares worldwide, he’s your man.

Place was exactly as described.
Manager was extremely friendly and helpful. Gave advice and directions and was all around a super guy.
Located in an industrial area but on the edge of the mangroves around the harbour. Rabbits and Pukekos wandering around were nice.
Very close to a train station to get around. You are given a key to enter and your vehicle locked behind gates so nice and safe to leave your car unattended.
Only $15 per vehicle reguardless of how many people staying.
Would definetly come again if we needed a place to stay in this area of the city.
Great spot. Mark is super nice. Very pretty and uncrowded, walk to the train station. Parked on grass, free water fill up. Wi-Fi didn't really work but owner says he is working on getting better wifi. Very quiet, great for the price.
