Room for 5-6 campers. Beautiful beach, frequented by Dotterels. Toilet block 20m away

A small site (only for 4-5 vehicles), but quiet, and with very clean toilets – even a (cold water) shower nearby. A short walk to the beach.

Get in early if you want get a spot here as it is really popular during summer with many staying for two nights. Right next to the beach and good clean public toilets and outdoor cold beach shower.

Great spot, with lights in the toilets & added hot showers it would be perfect!

Wow wow wow I was lucky enough to get the last spot at this parking space (there’s about 5 parking spots - fills up quickly because of prime location) Clean new toilets, a dairy close by and so close to the beach!

Fantastic place. Lovely toilets and outdoor cold shower (for beach goers, granted). No drinking water, but there is a dairy. Great surf beach and a bonus of seeing dotteril chicks on the beach. There is a great little walk to a gorgeous beach further along on the coast. Highly recommended!

Absolute stunner of a place. New toilet facilities, outside shower, grasses area to park on and beach within steps. Awesome views and lots of hikes nearby. Highly recommended.

Great little spot to park up overnight! There is a new toilet block right next to the parking area with flushing toilets and sensor lights. It was nice and quiet when we stayed.
There is clear signage which indicates where you can park. There is space for approx 4-5 vehicles keeping in mind that the council by-laws state that you need to leave a 3m gap between cars.
Make sure you are self-contained and that you have your legitimate paperwork certifying as the (friendly) Ranger will ask you in the morning.

Incredible beautiful camping space. Very quiet with beautiful beach. We were there during construction and were told it was ok to camp outside of freedom camping signs, had no problems. Very fun park for families! Four campers in total. Highly recommend!

Great spot in the grass to the right of the parking lot. When I was there (dec 2019) there was still construction going on of the new bathrooms right next to the freedom camping area. This cut into the amount of space allocated (cut it down to about four vans) but all four spots filled up that night. Beach shower and bathrooms up the hill were still operational and it’ll be super nice and convenient when the new bathrooms open up. 10/10 would camp there again

Nice quiet spot by the beach. Toilets nearby. They are building new toilets on some of the freedom camping space so it isn’t quite as big as stated on the map. If you want a quiet spot with wonderful views this is a good one.

Super nice spot, less than a minute walk from the beautiful beach and toilets, which were moderately clean & open 24 hours. Small space, able to accommodate 5 in a row, maybe one or two more if allowed to block others in for the night! Would stay here again!
