Awesome location, great guide, beautiful and untouched nature, enjoyed the time on the water very much!
We did the "Doubtful Day Out" kayak trip in March 2017.
We were a total of 8 people, the trip started from Manapouri at 7 am. Amazing sunrise on Lake Manapouri during the boat transfer !
3h of kayak, with geological and environmental descriptions from our guide.
During the first hour, we were alone in the Sound, which made the place and the silence really awesome !
The return transfer (bus+boat) was made a bit in a rush...
The price is expensive for a "simple" kayaking trip, but it is the price to pay to enjoy the beauty and the silence of Doubtful Sound !

Fell in love with the peaceful atmosphere.
Beautiful, not so many people - peaceful. Saw dolphins, seals, baby eagles and a dead shark. Away for 10 hours.
Overnight kayak trip to Doubtful Sound. Excellent gear and guide, amazing locations, well organised.
Fantastic tour, our guides Scotty and Jess were excellent. Doubtful Sound is a must see.
