Absolutely beautiful place to stay. The wind kicked up the water & it made it sound like the beach.
A little tight getting out of & it got real popular so get there early.

Very much a gem! Super quiet and so so beautiful. It’s right off the road but we never even heard cars go by if they even did.
We pulled over in this general region (I think it was this spot) and it was BEAUTIFUL. No facilities and quite a few sand flies. Perfect for self contained vehicles. We actually used the toilets before leaving town and had no issue.
Great location and views of the lake. Near to Queenstown but nice and quiet.
Nice campsite to swim in the lake and have a night...not crowded! Just sandflies for our breakfast ;)
Right on the waters edge, with a beautiful view. Few sandflies.
There is space for 3 campers. Even though it is pretty close to the street, it was quiet, because there is not much traffic. No facilities at all. We liked this beautiful place and would recommend it.
Thanks to all the good people working for the NZ Department of Conservation - for all your hard work - making NZ more beautiful, accessable and healthy! Cheers 😍
