Amazing location and free!
We came here with our 7m long camper. A lot of space available. Very beautiful sunset seen over the lake. It is possible to go swimming.
Toilet is available but no water. (This is 1 point minus in the rating).
We would stop here again next time.

Many campers, even if toilet is available, it's better to use own one. Nice view on the lake. You can hear traffic from the road.
Good views but crowded and no order to where people park up, large site however. It’s a bit of a free for all. Only 1 toilet for a very large site was a bit of an issue. Views are great if you can get a lake side spot.

Really nice place although very crowded. Need to come early but the view is fantastic and the lake is nearby to jump into it. We did not use the toilet so not comment on that. But we came here back on the second day - recommend it.
Beautiful location on the lake, a lot of space, a little windy.
Amazingly beautiful spot, right on the banks of Lake Taupo.
Lots of parking, probably 15-20 spots for self contained spots. Lots of great walks in the area, and just outside Taupo township
Fabulous fabulous right on the lake. Just one drop toilet. No water.
You need to arrive here early to get a decent spot.
The place is really crowded and has only one really basic toilet which has no toilet paper! So remember that.
Other than that the view over Taupo Lake is beautiful.
Great views but super busy place!
View is great. Large site makes it crowded. Toilet is non-flush. No toilet paper.
Pretty good spot. Plenty of room. Ocean/wind can be loud but we found it soothing. 1 non-flushing toilet but not smelly.
LOVELY spot with beautofil view of the lake. We brought own toilet paper just in case but not necessary. Super busy but also loads of space. Stayed here a few days and loved it.
Thanks to all the good people working for the NZ Department of Conservation - for all your hard work - making NZ more beautiful, accessable and healthy! Cheers 😍
