Place is nice and has a lot of interesting things to see and a beautiful view
The knowledge and service of the DOC personnel could however be improved and was way better in other locations
Awesome spot, beautiful glaciers!
Pretty basic, but what a great view in the morning. Toilets were OK, but you wouldn't eat your dinner in there.
So informative and free! Would have paid!
Interesting history of mountain climbing and walking in the area. Well worth a visit. Displays about different rescues and an eye opening video about the glaciers and the mountains.
Opening hours are 8.30-5pm every day. Thought I would add that information as I couldn't find it when we were on our way there. Very informative visitor centre and the best for nature. Great views too!
Beautiful centre. You can spend a couple of hours learning about the history of the alpines in Mt Cook and the fauna and flora of the surroundings. Clean, well presented, friendly staff and all the information you need to plan your treks. A great visit!

One of the best scenic view of NZ. Good weather, an amazing blue Lake.
Well set out, educational about the local area and history. Great interaction models which help describe the area. Good local knowledge by staff.
Very informative and interesting.
The exhibition was amazing, very interesting and loads of information. The ladies at the welcome desk were extremely nice and helpful.
Really friendly and helpful and there is a little museum included which was interesting and for free.
We got information about the tracks, especially with baby backpacks (so that they would not take too long or be too steep).
Lots of information; warm on a cold day.
Very nice, I was really surprised the first time I went in.
Good exhibitions with video documentary and good information about the story of this area.
Great site with an amazing view, great architecture and friendly staff.
So many information about the mountain. You could see a lot (pictures and stuff). Almost seemed to be a museum.
Good information and facilities. Small museum and exhibitions are nice.
Precise and helpful information.
Very informative - from current weather to the areas history.
More than just an information centre. Lots of good information and history of the area - very interesting.
Useful information concerning a hike.
Friendly, informative, good solving for a problem.
Great displays, more information than you could read (at least if you have kids), movie presentation and clear advice.
Great place, we spent half of a very rainy day here and could have stayed longer!
The place is great. Free museum. A pity you have to pay $1 or $2 for walking track maps when you see they are all very well indicated with signs everywhere.
Friendly and helpful staff, beautiful new facility - worth a visit and a nice alternative to the too costly Sir Edmund Hilary Centre.
Great information display of mountaineering at Mount Cook, helpful staff with advice on suitable walks for the time we had available.
Fantastic place. Good shop, nice toilets, good knowledge about tracks, weather and more. Fantastic exhibition about climbing in the area.
Wonderful place which is a mix between museum and i-SITE. There were a lot of books, maps, documentation and the staff were nice.
A lot of useful information. Well welcomed.
Plenty of information on mountain tracks, and about mountains rocks and wildlife. New and very pleasant.
An amazing DoC, like a museum. Nice staff too.
Interesting exhibition on Mount Cook history.
Free and interesting exhibition on Mt Cook history. Competent personnel. Clean toilet.
Nice museum about the history of Mt Cook.
Good information about all I needed. Day walks, accommodation and weather.
Probably the best Visitor Centre in NZ - helpful staff, fantastic building and views, informative museum/displays about the area
Beautiful I-site, nice people, lots of information and a little expo bout Mt Cook. Worth a visit.
Great info, very well set up and informative. Beautiful location.
Very good maps on the wall to locate the walks around. The staff are very helpful. But the best part is the small museum below: go and have a look, it is very nice!!
Good information about the tracks.
Was very good.

Good access by car, bus, campervan or even by foot. Information for every facility and activities around the area. Moreover information and history of tracks and mountain is provided.
Bad opening hours, camping ground not easy to find by signs.
Well informed, keen to help. Very very friendly.
Go downstairs to watch a free documentary about the Search and Rescue Teams endeavours at Mt Cook. Well worth it.
Friendly and good information.
Well equipped with leaflets but not deeply knowledgable when asked simple things like the weather.......
