Campervan with kids

Kept up all night with drunks yelling and singing. Lady I paid knew we had 2 young kids and didn’t mention this would happen
Each camping location is approved by a regional council in NZ. So if it shows on the map, you’re allowed to stay.

Handy location. Toilets close in the bar at 10pm but there are public toilets a 5 min walk away. It's quite noisy as there is a pub beside you however we had no trouble sleeping. You can't beat the location, right in the centre of raglan and 2 mins from the beach

Strange but totally fine if you are not loooking for any kind of ambiance. It literally is a parking lot of a bar. I guess that could be cool and super convenient in some situations. Not exactly a romantic setting but if you want to be close to restaurants and bars it would be hard to beat.

Signs in the parking lot say it’s an overnight camping lot and it’s $15 per vehicle. When we tried to pay at the bar we were told you have to be members of the New Zealand motorhome association, so we weren’t allowed to stay. For members, there are bathrooms across the street so may not be a bad spot if you want to stay in the city.

Lovely people, literally just parking in a car park, no toilets ect so self contained vans only, $15 per van. Super easy and cheap if wanting to have a few drinks and not driving afterwards :)
