Was our first night in our Camper after pick up in Christchurch. Beautiful surroundings and tracks nearby. Peaceful, rustic atmosphere in the common areas. Unpowered site. Price was fair! Would go there again anytime.

15 Minutes away from akaroa, narrow road, but no problem to drive. Big van park, beautiful view. Open common kitchen (stove, fridge) easy to get in touch with people. Toilets and hot showers. Friendly, helpful staff. Nice walks starting directly from the farm. They offer a dolphin tour that is cheaper than the ones you can book via I-sites. Luckily we saw lot of dolphins, also here superfriendly staff. WiFi 500mb per day per device, works slow, especially during the evening when more people are using it.

I (campervan) came here for the cheaper dolphin watching tour in a hard-shell zodiac (smaller grouper and closer to the water). Ended up staying 2 nights. Buildings have a bit of a rustic charm and they have everything, including a small charging station.
Only downside is they have no powered sites.
The whole atmosphere of the farm is somewhat enchanting.
One of our favourite camps in the whole of our trip. We had planned to stay in the free camping area in Akaroa but it was full and I'm so glad it was as this is a real gem.
As a working farm, there are animals all around (especially some very friendly chickens!)
Free showers, flush toilets, shelter for cooking and eating with a fridge and burners, free wifi. When we were there, someone was making and selling pizzas for $20 which looked good although we didn't try them. Staff were very friendly.
Cost (2p, non-powered): $30
Location: Spectacular views over Akaroa
Facilities: Free showers, flush toilets, cooking facilities, free wifi, walks available
Other: It's up quite a steep road (but then all the best places are in NZ!)
Facilities are clean but very basic. If your plan is to sleep-in in the morning, good luck! There's a resident rooster that provides a very early wake up call. All that being said the views are spectacular!!
Awesome little camp spot for the van. Cool walking trails around the farm area as well. Washing machine on site, kitchen and bbq area. Multiple showers and toilets for campers. Have seen cows, sheep and chickens roaming the neighbouring land. Staff are super friendly and helpful. No set camp sites for the van camp, just park where ever you fancy picnic tables scattered throughout the van camp as well. Awesome views. Would be a good spot for stargazing.
Cute, sheltered hostel/campsite on a hill. Placed a bit off the beaten track, you arrive after a challenging drive, steep and winding. The hostel itself is small but looked cosy. We stayed on the campsite with full equiped kitchen. Unfortunatly the hill on which the tentsites are, is very steep. Sites are extremely small, only a little tent will fit. We had a wet couple of days, which resulted in puddles under the tent and a scary, slippery walk towards the toilets. On a nice day, the place will probably be much more enjoyed!
Sehr schön gelegener Campingplatz! Fahrt bis zum Platz selber etwas abenteuerlich (kleine Campers von Vorteil). Tolle Aussicht!
Schafe und Hühner laufen auf Campingplatz umher. 4 saubere Toileten. Warme Duschen. Nur 1 Kochherd in der Küche. Nettes Personal. Haben uns tolle Wanderungen vorgeschlagen. Würde sofort wieder gehen!!
