Really enjoyed this walk which is about 12 km's one way. The track starts by crossing the suspension bridge in Albert town which also unfortunately is the site of a very ugly camp ground. The track is a nice gentle trail that mostly follows the river with views to the distant peaks. It eventually comes out at Lake Hawea where we enjoyed an excellent coffee & lake views from the local hotel before starting the return walk.

Lovely river to paddle. Beautiful blue water.
Wonderful landscape, really hard track, amazing view of the lakes.
After the bridge there is a picnic/camp site set aside the river where you can swim in the brilliant blue but cold river. Refreshing on a hot day but mind the currents.
