We had a great day on the River. Tricia and Paul were really helpful and the children we brought up for the day loved the experience.
We would definitely use them again.

I had the pleasure of taking the Grand Canyon Scenic Float in October 2015. It was the best trip of my visit. Relaxing, breathtaking scenery, peaceful float through canyons with surprises around every bend in the gentle river. The guide, Dean, was knowledgeable and entertained us with humorous stories of local and international rafting adventures. The lunch was fantastic, introducing me to the addition of beets as a condiment for sandwiches. Fresh and tasty. There are added surprises that you will discover on the float that add even more wonder to this spectacular section of the river (you will have to take the trip to find out what they are). I highly recommend this trip and others by this company. I stayed in the Awastone Campground which was exceptionally clean, fantastic location next to the river and canyon walls.

A wonderful family trip through Papa Gorge. The guides were amazing with our two boys. They kept the energy and fun level to the maximum. The boys loved finding fossils and bringing them home to show family and friends and they even learned a lot while they enjoyed the ride. Thank you from all of us!
Mangaweka Adventure Co responds:
Thanks for your comments. Tom had a great time too!

Great fun for the whole family! We had our boys (4 and 6) with us on the 2-3 hr Papa Gorge trip and we all enjoyed it very much. The water wasn't too wild for the kids, stunning scenery and lucky us, good weather. Tom, our guide, was although very nice and helpful in finding fossils along the way, the kids' highlight!
We stayed with our motorhome on the campground where the trip ended - its although very nice, quiet and in a beautiful setting on the river
Mangaweka Adventure Co responds:
Thanks for your comments! The campground is a lovely quiet spot to hang out without too much hassle from the caretakers!

Wanting a very crusie relaxing experience for all the family or a more youthful active adventure, try this. We did the ezi 5hr paddle. Took my mother (76yrs) & her 8 friends (12yr to 85yr) for a 5hr trip to see the great white cliffs & boulders. Our lunch break along the river was supplied at the perfectly rounded boulders in a forest that was an easy walking distance from the river. These boulders are 2 times larger than the Moeraki Boulders, down in North Otago. Me, being a double leg amputee I found this trip very accessible. There are plenty of other types of rafting options that you can experience with these guys, from extreme rafting/kayaking to an ezi paddling adventure. They cover all the bases. Their toasted sandwiches back at base, rock! Accomodation we stayed in the night before, was at the Loghouse in Mangaweka. There are options where you can stay at the very scenic motor camp down by the river(cabins/tent sites). ENJOY!
