For 30 days we rented (at an attractive rate) the Toyota Granvia 2 berth, not the most recent model, but complete, well equipped and maintained : in two words sound & solid !
And the most important condition for us was the walk through from the front seats to the living area.
The service of ROTORUA, Lorraine and Jeroen, is of a high standard : pick-up at AKL airport, first nite in their B & B on halfboard basis and all the information and documentation you need for a wonderful road trip in New Zealand. We highly recommend their company and one of their campervans when you consider to plan a trip to this interesting part of the globe.

A great small company run by a very kind Dutch family. Our campervan was great. It was quite a new one with a handy division. Everything was there and on the right spot. The bed was so big and with a very nice thick matrass. It was easy to drive in the van and to park the van on the campsite or in the city, not too big. We felt like the king and queen from the camping.

We rented a Toyota Hiace from Rotorua Campervans for 34 days, commencing in October. We chose Rotorua Campervans after reading excellent reviews & recieving prompt & full replies to queries we had before booking. On arriving in Auckland airport we were met by a shuttle service arranged by Joe & Loraine & taken to Rotorua where we stayed in their lovely guest accomodation for the first night. The next morning we were shown around the van & given loads of useful information for our trip. The van we had chosen was the oldest in their fleet, but was perfect for our needs & kitted out with all that we needed. Unfortunately 30 days into our fabulous trip we had a problem with the van, the clutch had given up (we had done nearly 7000k by this time!) Fortunately we had just left a campsite & limped to a local garage where we contacted Joe. His response was all you would hope for & he liaised with the young mechanic, instructing him to order/purchase whatever he deemed necessary to get us back on the road. Job done, we were back on the road within 36 hours & compensated for our lost day by Joe & Loraine on our return. We spent our last evening regalling them with our adventures over a lovely dinner prepared by Joe & Lorraine, before setting off for Auckland the next morning via a shuttle arranged by Rotorua Campervans. We had a brilliant holiday & would not hesitate to use Rotorua Campervans again. Thank you Joe & Loraine.

During our preparation for a tour through New Zealand we searched on the internet for
companies, renting campers there. So we also came across reviews about Rotorua Campers in Rotorua, which gave a positive impression. This has led us to rent a Toyota Granvia for almost 8
weeks.
Upon arrival at Auckland Airport someone was standing by the shuttle bus that they had engaged
for us. We were warmly welcomed by Jeroen and Lorraine and together with them that evening
ate. The bed and breakfast was top-notch. Before the start of the tour, we went through our plan where they also gave several good tips for campsites and other places of interest. What was very nice is that we could leave our bags with them! Furthermore, Rotorua is an ideal starting point to start your tour. To acclimatise after our long flight we had a few days at a campsite in Rotorua.
The first week with this campervan it took some getting used to the left especially at the
downshift from fifth to fourth gear. We had taken our own Tomtom with the actual map of New Zealand which is very good and came in handy. We regularly encountered "slippery" road surfaces and were happy with the new tires on our campervan.
Furthermore, it must be taken into account that the weather can change quickly and roads can be closed off by a landslide/flood.
During our tour, we once had a question to Jeroen and soon came an adequate answer. The day before our departure we made use of the bed and breakfast with Jeroen and
Lorraine and let them arrange the shuttle bus to Auckland Airport. Everything was arranged by them. What we have read about other reviews, we can just confirm. We look back on a top holiday in New Zealand!

Lorraine and Jeroen have created a real "home far away form home", because of their warm welcome at the beginning and on return after a fantastic journey through New Zealand. Their B & B is excellent, as are their delicious meals. We have rented a Toyota Hi-Ace Jumbo with them and we were surprised by the comfort (well thought-out layout) and the pleasant driving characteristics
(comfortable suspension!). The contacts via internet for the contracting of the camper were also very pleasant and clear and afterwards there was no surprise in the form of extra costs o.i.d. Really recommended.

I would recommend Rotorua camper vans. we travelled non stop from the UK and arrived in Auckland around mid-day. It was a relief not to have to start immediately driving a camper van. The pick up at the airport was fine. Joe and Lorraine were very welcoming, provided supper and a comfortable flat. So we were ready next morning to start. We had a good briefing on the van and were given all the information we needed about its maintenance and care. we were also give a copy of the New Zealand Atlas with recommendations on where others had found good camp sites.
The van was not new and did show its age in the furnishings but everything worked and there were lots of pieces of kitchen equipment and a large supply of towels and dishcloths. The bed was comfortable and the linen scrupulously clean. We had no maintenance problems with the van and drove nearly 4,000km including over the Lewis Pass in the snow.
Thank you to Joe and Lorraine for their part in our wonderful holiday; we can't blame you for the snow as we probably brought it with us from the UK!

We were very happy with our decision to choose Rotorua Campervans for our 6 week exploration of New Zealand. Right from the start Joe and Lorraine, the owners of this small family business, were extremely helpful in planning our vacation. On arrival in Auckland we were met at the airport and transferred to Rotorua where we were welcomed warmly by the owners. We enjoyed dinner with the family, and appreciated a night at their B&B to recover from our journey. Our campervan was clean and well-equipped and we were provided with excellent maps, guide books, and travelling tips. Before we set off Joe took the time to go over the equipment and workings of the van thoroughly. We appreciated the personalized service we received and highly recommend Rotorua Campervans.
