Planned on staying one night here but liked it and the location so much we extended to two nights. Stayed on the east side in spot 43 which backed up to some cow pasture and the ocean beyond that. Less than a 5 minute walk to the park trailhead and cafe (which has great pizza and drinks). Showers and bathrooms were very nice and never had to wait more than a minute or two for one to open up. Laundry was a little difficult because one dryer was out of service and people kept beating us to it. Overall had an awesome stay and looking forward to coming back!
Our best stay in our 4 weeks across nz. We really felt at home here. We had an unpowered site that was spacious directly at the edge of the park. Situated at the park entrance you can start your walk into the park directly from there. They sold their own meat what was a nice surprise. They arranged us water taxi. Camp was full but atmosphere was great. Great holiday feeling!!!

Such a great holiday park. Awesome view, very good facilities plus ping pong, pool table, slack line, badminton. Worth to stay 2 + nights. Directly near national park entrance and nice restaurants nearby. Very nice and helpful staff 👍🏽👍🏽
Fantastic place! Right at the beginning of all the walking tracks, water taxi’s. Kayak places etc. The camp has good facilities, but we liked especially all the communal areas. Our favorite camping spot so far! Very green!

This is a lovely site and perfectly placed in the National Park. I nearly didn’t come here because of all the comments about how tightly packed in the camper vans are but I’m so glad we did. We have a powered site and I don’t think we are tightly packed in compared to the other sites we have visited so far.
The Barn has a lovely feel to it - lots of different people here exploring the park. The facilities are great and nicely spread out - very clean toilets and showers with plentiful hot water.
It’s definitely not the cheapest, but I think we have had value for our money.
My only quibble... the wifi allowance is pretty stingy!
Would highly recomend this place!! Ok, it's not cheap, 26pp but had clean and hot showers. Toilets were cleen too. Big kitchenarea to use. Playground for kids. Staff is very nice and helpful. Close to several costaltracks.
We absolutely loved the Barn for its vibe, facilities, location, set up etc. Maybe campervans could be a bit more spaced out bit this didn't bother us and it gets you talking to your neighbours, too. And it's not so big or at least doesn't feel like it, which was nice. Would defo recommend it and stay there again.

One of the best camp grounds on our trip. Really stunning views of the gateway to the Able Tasman and good facilities (if a little busy). The office booked our water taxis and kayak hire and there is some free wifi included. Lots of teenage backpackers but we were more on the family side of the site and it was quiet both nights we stayed.
Nice place. Great atmosphere and very close to the national park. Nice view from campsite. Facilities were good and clean. Only disadvantage were the sandflies. Make sure you have repellent.
We paid $40 unpowered for 2 persons
I was not as in love with this campground as others were. What it has going for it is proximity to the trailhead for Abel Tasman hikers and clean facilities. They pack the campervans in next to each other on a grassy lot which greatly detracts from the camping experience. Also the internet worked only until my screen timed out while cooking; then, despite following their directions and leaving the browser open, I could not get back on.
Such a kick-ass campsite. Beautiful views and so close to the park. Beach walk is right in front of the camp grounds. They have a fully stocked kitchen as well as an outdoor kitchen which was great. Lots of bathrooms, hot water too. WiFi is for a limited time, which is fine cos you want to switch off! Friendly and nice staff, great vibe with fires and table tennis.
Very nice campground, even with ocean views depending on the space given to you. The owner/staff member at reception was very friendly. Toilets and showers were clean, showers also had hot water. The place even sells some food, beverages, and things like toothbrush and -paste in the reception building/office. Even free WiFi is available for free , at least a certain amount of data per. The price for the campground is also quite reasonable considering the facilities, location, and the general prices around Abel Tasman National Park. Would definitely recommend this place.
