Great location, only $8 p.p. No potable water, sheltered area, no envelopes to pay and veeeeery smelly long drop loos.

Pleasant camp by the river. A nice spot to stay on the Forgotten World Highway, with nicely kept lawns, lots of spots for a tent and the river which you can swim in! (just be careful of the strong current). $10 a night to pitch a tent. There was a very noisy dog on a farm property across the road that barked all evening, and all morning which was really disruptive. Otherwise, a nice doc camp.

Great campsite from location point of view: quiet area near the river, plenty of space, toilets and water available. Yet toilets are really dirty and without paper. Doors are kept open by stones to control the smell. This would be a marvellous spot if somewhat better maintained.

Great place, but then Doc sites usually are. Was pretty much empty when we arrived so were able to get a nice alcove to ourselves up the top, not too far from the toilets. Would definitely come again.

Gorgeous free spot. Farmland on camp side of the river but looking a pristine bush at the cliff opposite.
Long drop loos - take your own paper- and no water or sanitiser.
Good large spots.

Clean long drops x 2. Plenty of space and choice of parking camping areas. Some sites have been gravelled, maybe better drained. Approach no problem with 7.5m long motorhome. They have reprofiled/regraded first 100m. Swing wide into entrance of approaching from East!! Swimming n paddling in river.

Free for motor campers; those doing kayak journeys pay in advance. Beautiful spot on river bank, toilet and cooking/eating area under cover.

Is right next to the river and is free.
There are some long drop toilets too.
However the access road is shocking- it is drivable in a big camper (we did it) but check it out first. I wouldn't recommend it after a lot of rain either as we slid around a bit too. My advice is to stop at the top of the access road and have a quick look down at the first 100m or so...

Nice campground for free at a river along the Lost World Highway.
