We took a 1 day trip to kayak Doubtful Sound. The rain was pouring, but our guide kept the spirits up. Unfortunately, this guided trip was a bit too restrictive for us as we were made to stay very close together as a group. Trip would be best for new kayakers.
Absolutely fantastic!! Very accommodating when we had to rearrange due to van troubles. When we got round to doing it - brilliant day. The guide was great, really special experience. Lovely tea, coffee, soup and biscuits too!!

Doubtful Sound one day kayak trip - great tour guides, just perfect for a one day trip. They provide the full gear and a lot of knowledge.
Did a days kayaking on Doubtful Sound; included a boat cruise across Lake Manapouri, a bus trip and 4-5 hours kayaking on the Sound. Brilliant day, our guide was very knowledgeable about the Sound and nature and we saw dolphins, penguins and seals - and barely any other people.
Day trip on Doubtful Sound - fantastic great guide, a real wilderness experience.

Wonderful views, not a guided tour so absolutely free. Not expensive, lonely beaches.

A short briefing about the day's programme was missing, but could have been useful. Sometimes I felt treated like an idiot!
Day long trip with 5hr kayaking on the Doubtful Sound. Small groups (5 inc guide) makes the trip very personal.
The guide Wille Lee. Great and fun.
Willy Lee, the guide was awesome.
The people that own it have a part to play in it - very well organised.
Found it very nice, but heavily overpriced.
Guide was really good, told us a lot of stories, really friendly and laughed a lot! Showed us cool places.
Pay close attention to the weather conditions.
