What a place! Not too far off the main road, down a narrow unsealed section - watch out for sheep. Beautiful beach, vast grassy areas, seals, striking cliffs as well as a good surf beach. The famous Purakaunui Falls are not far away. This camp site is definately well worth the trip.

One of the best campsites we have been to in New Zealand. Stunning view, big campsite, not too busy, gravel road to access but it is not a big deal.
Towed an 8m caravan here - take care on the last 1 - 2 kms spacious grassy area, rubbishy bins, toilets were clean views are awesome, sea lions were on the beach short distances to other beaches walks and falls.

Just a superb place to stay. Right by the beach, fires allowed and spectacular white cliffs are there see too. You might even see a sea lion on the beach. Don't be fazed by the drive in. Sure, it is a bit narrow for the last km or so but any vehicle can drive in with ease given awareness of other road users. We loved this place.
Beautiful campsite. A fair way off the main road so nice and quiet. Plenty of space and great spots so it didn't feel cramped even with lots of other people. Incredible views over a gorgeous beach. Drop toilets, no shower, wifi or phone service.
Most beautiful campsite we have been to. Next to a nice beach with sea lions!! Such an amazing view! The toilets were clean but no toilet paper. The drive is long and on gravel but it is really worth it! Doesn't have a shower or WiFi as said in the app of course.
We at Rankers NZ, love to meet travellers on the road and share in some of the freedom. That's why Rankers NZ invites you to come and stay for free at our chill riverside overnight parking area in the Motueka Valley at the top of the South Island.
Great overnight spot! Bit of snow on the road on the way down but it is the middle of winter! Watched the seals come to shore in the evening and back out to sea the next morning. Amazing!
