Good nature, close to main Highway

This spot is my pick for the camping choices around Springs Junction / Lewis Pass.
We loved the easy proximity to the highway, without the road noise.
Campfires are a go, with concrete fire pits to choose from.
Lot's of little nooks to poke your campervan into. Plus more open spaces if you prefer those.
Take the 5 min walk to down the Lake Daniel track to natures sluice box. There's an unauthorised track on the left, directly before the bridge. This 1 minute detour gets you to a mean little swimming spot. Pure.
