Excellent customer service in reception. Knowledgeable staff. Facilities were immaculately clean, free hot showers, with no timers. 44 dollars for two people on a powered site. Kitchen and dining facilities were excellent, and clearly still very new. Easy walk to lakeside. We stayed on our way to Te Anau and would highly recommend.

The new kitchen/ lounge/ bbq building is great. Even got open fire places inside and outside. Close to lake and cafe. The local pub (Kingston flyer) is cute as. Do the short but steep walk to the waterfall lovely views.

Awesome campground. They have upgraded a lot of facilities including a new kitchen, BBQ and longe block and refreshed bathrooms. We tebted but the log cabins looked great. Friendly, helpful staff.

Construction happening so they were shoving people into tiny spots, all close together not privacy and only two toilets.

We enjoyed our stay here. Pretty simple, but they are doing remodeling for facilities. Facilities are clean! Great location to be at.

Geat site, but failed to say the site is a building site at the moment on their front page. Had to use unisex toilets and track through mud to get to camper. Should discount it at this time due to ongoing works

I love the kitchen. Fully equipped with all the cooking and eating necessity. Clean. Unlimited hot shower. A small park just off the road but quiet. The best park for my past 2 weeks travel in South Island.

The place is nice, surrounded by mountains and the lake. Bathroom seems to be clean. Although the grassy powered campsites are uneven, makes no sense so sleep there in a campervan. Other sides have a rocky underground, makes it quite uncomfortable. The bathroom offers only two showers which firstly offer a lousy water pressure and secondly aren't enough for all woman on the campsite. The kitchen is really well equipped but silly small only two stoves and two sinks and no space for more than 8 people. Especially during cold season and in cold evenings it makes very difficult to stay there and cook something because everyone wants to be inside.
Definitely not the best campsite we had in New Zealand. Wouldn't go there again.

Great park with an easy drive into Queenstown. Showers and toilets clean and tidy. Well maintained and pretty holiday park, just off the highway with no issue of traffic noise. Well equipped with all camping needs and all within close proximity to camp areas. Felt very relaxed in this park.

This is a friendly place with good facilities. Good showers, a well equipped kitchen and a big BBQ thoughtfully provisioned with tools, cleaner and even a hand towel dispenser. It is not glitzy, the amenity buildings are fairly rustic, but that is part of its charm. It is a short walk to the beautiful lake. We were positioned quite near the road but luckily it was not busy and as we were in an RV we were not troubled in the slightest.

Very frustrated. Booked the stay in April and never got a confirmation of booking. Then they rung and said I had 5 bookings. So i went up there and confirmed that I only had the one booking and where we had booked for (the tent site we wanted). We have been there previously and enjoyed our stay in that particular tent site so asked if we could have the same site. Family were coming up too so they went up and asked if they could be near us, they showed them where we were and my family measured up the site beside where we were booked and said yes can they have that site, this was also confirmed. We turned up to have our family reunion holiday at Kingston and got told that our tent site was now somewhere else. So frustrating, yes we were by family but not the sites we had booked. We were right by the main road and at night felt like Buses, trucks and cars were driving right beside our heads, even had stones flicking up off the road hitting our tent, as there was no protection just small shrubs between us and the road . We did get an apology when we arrived and got 20% off our booking but this did not make up for the frustration of no sleep and not getting the area we had booked. The area was booked so that we could see our kids going to tv room etc from our site, where we were we could not and had to walk with them.

Meet expectation. Nice toilet/shower. Clean kitchen. TV room for the kids and their grandpa. Nice motorhome parking layout. Friendly front counter lady. One thing that i do like to comment is the BBQ facilities was not maintained/clean. The grill was rusty. You basically could not use it unless you use a layer of aluminum foil.

Great little spot with a stream running through, offered a great respite from travels with a TV room, BBQ area, fast Wifi, friendly staff, stayed in powered site with camper for 2 adults and 2 children, free showers, able to use all kitchen utensils, lovely gardens, no sandflies.

This campsite is conveniently located as a stopover on the way to Queenstown. Very good value @ $35 for a powered site for 2 people and also very good a cheap WiFi. Facilities may be a bit dated but very clean and in perfect condition. The lady on reception was very nice and helpful to us and our stay here was a very pleasant one.

So this will be my first negative rating, the stay wasn't worth the money. For $20 per person/night (non-powered of course) they gave a kind of parking spot. Very small, surrounded by neglected flowerbeds, butts and tea bags lying around. Due to missing hedges, or the like, the guests of the other "parking spots" jumped around my campervan, I had absolutely NO privacy! I can't imagine that the beautiful photo, which is shown here, has been taken at Kingston Holiday Park.
The only good thing: The sanitary facilities are ok and very clean. I've visited a lot of campsites with better quality and lower prices!

A pretty, scenic and quiet location. Lovely little stream running through grounds, caretaker Annabelle very friendly and helpful. Short walk to Lake Wakatipu and snow capped peaks nearby. Bicycles for hire at very competitive rates. Hectors is going through refurbishment which will improve tv room (if that's your thing) and other facilities, however the rest of the park and location are a great place to rest before taking on the pace of Queenstown's ventures. Would stay much longer if time permitted! Ben & Fiona, Australia

We stayed here in a powered site with 2 adults (can't remember but approximately $32-35?). This was a pleasant campground with a running creek and cute little bridge and gardens. Amenities nice and clean. Great place to stay on the drive from Queenstown to Milford Sound.
