Nice flat site beside the Oamaru Gardens. 15 minute walk to town through the gardens. Facilities clean, bathroom heated. Did hear the trains a few times during the night. Plenty of activities here for children and a playground down the road. $50 per night for 2 on powered site.

The positives....Lovely surroundings and location right next to beautiful gardens and children’s playground. Very nice 20 min walk to town. Friendly helpful staff. Free DVD loans. Mini golf was great, tricky and each hole has a local theme. Lovely hot showers. Kitchen clean and adequate. Free BBQs. Kangaroo jump and tramp were great. Clean bathrooms that seemed a bit warmer and more modern than others we’ve come across. One negative was the trains in the night but fine once you know what they are. We stayed an extra night.

Great clean park with the powered site we needed. Last minute decision to stay in Oamaru and very glad we did. Lots of things to do and see here. Very clean showers, toilet and kitchen. Would stay again.

Great campsite with all the usual amenities and then some. The staff were friendly and helpful, the grounds were well maintained. The bathrooms seem to have been recently renovated so are very modern and clean, my only complaint would be that there are only two showers and two toilets per bathroom which isn’t much for such a large campground.

Reasonable services, kitchen/toilet block has recently been refurbished. DVD library to borrow a movies for the night was a nice touch. Location was a 10min walk from shops but had noise from heavy vehicles through the night. It was OK for the price.

We really loved this park, beautiful green grass & gravel pull ins. It’s right next to a peaceful public gardens, perfect for a stroll. They have private jacuzzi tubs you can rent for $10, perfect on a cold day. Facilities are clean big. Will stay again!

Extremely lovely staff and very helpful in terms of what to do in Oamaru. Slightly outdated but extremely tidy kitchens and bathrooms. Bit of wifi included. Nice flat sites of both gravel and grass. Short walk to town through to garden. Would stay again!

Hi Ben & Liv
Thank you for your feed back. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay with us & found the staff helpful. Yes our ablutions are at a very high standard they are used as an example for other parks to view for ideas before doing their up grades. The Gardens are amazing with all the Monarch Butterflies at the moment. Glad you enjoyed your stay

Arrived without reservation but no problem despite the Blues &Jazz festival that weekend. Nice stroll through the park into town late afternoon but walked back along the road after dark as the park was not lit. Used the showers. Only stayed one night.

My husband and I arrived at Oamaru Top 10 at dusk, about 8:30pm, which we thought was absolutely fine. there was no-one at the office but there was a note on the window which said "if you arrive late, just take a spot and pay in the morning". We didn't have a tent or campervan, we needed a room. There was a bell that my husband rung and a lady came up behind us and my husband said "sorry to bother you, but we are in need of a room for the night", he is always very polite. The lady was absolutely so rude and mannerless! She was mad that we arrived at that time, which we had never experienced before. We had arrived late at other places before and had never experienced such rudeness from anyone. There was a spa there which closed at 9pm but didn't even want to ask as she had alreay bit my husbands head off. If you want to run a business where you have to work with the public, being absolutely rude to guests is NOT a good if you want to make a living! She was obviously not a people person so I have no idea why she would want to run a camping ground. The room was ok, the amentities were good. Disappointed that she made us feel like we couldn't ask to use the spa though. I wouldn't recommend Oamaru Top 10 and won't ever be staying there again.
