Fantastic location. You can pretty much camp on the beach and there's a great point break. Perfect peeling waves with pretty much no one on them!! We stayed here 2 nights.

Very nice spots close to the beach and convenient for Kaikoura. kitchen and bathrooms were clean, though things feel spaced out and little lighting when walking around. Good recycling done here. Showers were annoying, with the radio permanently on, on and off button outside the shower doors and lights are automatic which means you may run out of water and then fumble in the dark to active the lights and start again. I feel I wasted more water by not being able to control the water on/off. Hosts are friendly but are just hosts and don't offer any services really and are not clued up about Kaikoura excursions.

Good equipments, nice location, noise from the road nearby but do not belueve when they tell you you buy 10GB of internet data for extra 5 dollars. Don't throw your money away. At least between 6pm and 9pm, when we gave up and went to sleep, you couldn't even see your emails from places close to the reception. It's a shame they sell what they obviously cannot deliver when the camp is only half full! What a shame. We needed to do work on the net and felt ripped off. Zero connection!

A lovely clean, friendly camp with great facilities, right by the rolling surf. $44 a night, nice lady at reception, we stayed here two years ago and I am pleased the standards and cleanliness continue, Most certainly 10/10

Lovely spot! The staff is super nice and for $13 You get a lot of facilities - nice kitchen, lounge, hot showers, laundry. I pitched my tent on the dunes right on to the beach. Highly recommended

2 adults on a powered pitch mid March. We had a lovely stay, mainly due to the uninterrupted view over the beach and gorgeous weather. Facilities in good working order - although showers are push button operated, which is annoying for washing hair etc. My partner informs me we also had to pay $2 to use the dump station hose?

Stay here instead of in town, quieter, more spacious and better value for money.

This site is all that it says on the info. Easy drive to Kaikoura, but lots to do with beach so close. Deeply shelving beach and rough sea not too good for children. Brilliant site facilities, kitchen and dining area. Outdoor games area a nice touch! Well stocked shop, but best of all was the cooked to order pie and chips in the evening! Pity about the constant noise of helicopters overhead.

Friendly and helpful reception. Good wi-fi. small shop sold essential items, and best of all, Pie and Chips to order in the evenings! Several small shower blocks for different areas of the site; clean and water hot. Play area for children and adults. I enjoyed beating my husband at the giant 4-in-a-Row! Site exit straight onto the beach. Flip-flops required as the sand was too hot to walk on. Steeply shelving beach good for surfers and strong swimmers, but not so good for children. Pity about the constant noise of helicopters overhead during the day. Short drive to Kakoura, but well worth being outside town for the facilities and the beach.

Nice area by the beach. Friendly staff and sites are well laid out. There are lots of bathrooms and sink areas. The button to start the shower is outside which is awkward but manageable. My only comment is regarding the kitchen - it's too small for the number of people. There are two, 4 burner elements that take a very long time to heat up. The sinks are okay with space in between for dishes but there isn't much prep space.

Fantastic location with powered sites right on the beach. Kid friendly facilities with flying fox, mini golf and playground. The bathrooms are clean and the showers have piping hot water. Highly recommended!
