A boutique style holiday park centrally located in the Marlborough Sounds.

Smiths Farm was developed in 1997 by Chris and Barbara Faulls. Situated on Barbara's family farm, guests can relax and soak up the sights and sounds of paradise or opt to explore the wonderful local area.

Wander through the farm to the bush walk that leads you to a big waterfall. Try our night time adventure and visit the glow worms in their magical dell. Feed the pet animals and just enjoy being in the country in a unique part of NZ.

Just 3km away at Anakiwa is the start of the Queen Charlotte Track. Talk to Chris and Barbara about options for walking, mountain biking or kayaking on the Queen Charlotte Track or in the Queen Charlotte Sound itself.

Take a mail boat cruise, hop on a scenic cruise or a mussel cruise or pilot your own boat at your leisure.

The Waikakaho Walkway is also just a few kilometres away and you can explore the old goldmining area of Cullensville.

If that doesn't take your fancy, then drive the 40minutes to Blenheim and either self drive around the many vineyards and attractions or hop onboard a guided tour. Sample some of the amazing fresh food at the many excellent restaurants and cafes or visit the Saturday artisan's market or the Farmers market on Sunday.

One of our favourite stops in our 5 weeks of travelling around New Zealand! The warm welcome with some homemade muffins, the chance to wonder around the farm and feed the animals, and the walk to see the glow worms and the waterfall were all great!
Good facilities including the toilets, showers, large kitchen/ communal area and the ability to dump waste and fill up with fresh drinking water.
Well worth the $40 for a powered site for two people.
Thanks for letting us stay!

We stayed a night here in our campervan. Everyone was so friendly - including the beautiful animals! The walk to the waterfall was so spectacular. Will definitely stay here again.

Great campsite/farm stay, the kids loved feeding the animals especially the lambs that were there and the muffins on arrival were delicious. The glow worm walk at night is a must but can be a little tricky with little ones. Our 4yr old managed it though.

One of the best we stayed at during our 3 week trip. The warm welcome and banna muffins were just the start. This is not just a park with super clean great facilities but an experience, from feeding the alpacas, the glow worm walk and the amazing setting of the surrounding valley. It's a must stay place.

Fabulous stopover in the Marlborough region and on the way to the ferry. Laundry facilities that work, muffins on checkin as advertised, and lots of farm animals that you can feed if you want. Very pleasant family running the place. The only reason I just can’t quite give a 10/10 is the water pressure on the shower is so low it took ages to get the shampoo out of my hair.

Three weeks in the South Island and we finally found the best. It was different, fun, kids loved it and the hosts were so passionate about their property they went out of their way for every guest as they arrived. Animals, bbq, glow worms, waterfall...could not fault it. We stayed on a powered site and loved the place.

This place is the best! We were welcomed with warm banana muffins, and the host even offered us extra duvets for the cold night (she even kept apologizing for the weather!). The cabin was warm and comfortable. The kitchen and bathrooms are clean and well-equipped. There is even a cozy fireplace in the kitchen. We were handed a superbly hand-drawn map of the farm showing the way to the hidden waterfall. The walk through the farm and to the waterfall was absolutely fun and stunning. Loads of glow worms everywhere!

They also let us feed and hang out with the animals. We were also told they are going to open a center for breeding endangered animals soon. Fantastic!

This is the best paid campsite I have been in the whole of the south island. Seriously. Free muffins(they were good!). A whole bag of food to feed the farm animals. Everything is clean. Host are so nice! The walk to the waterfall was great. Standing right under the waterfall was amazing. And there are so many glow worms in some areas (even more than those other free Glow worm walks I did). Simply the best.

Beautiful place! Very friendly staff, very clean, super cute animals, free and delicious banana muffin when you check in and food for the goats and sheep. I couldn’t resist and gave all my carrots to the pigs! The only thing, as other people already said, it would be ideal to install more bathrooms. Other then that, it is a perfect place to spend a couple of days.

What an amazing welcome we had to our stay at Smiths Farm.

We were presented with fresh baked muffins on arrival, as well as a free upgrade to our room. The service was incredibly friendly, and informative, giving us ideas on what we could do during our stay.

Our kids loved feeding the animals on the farm (you are given a free bag of animal food on arrival) and the walk up to the waterfall was spectacular. Beautifully clean cabin and so very well equipped.

Heaps of space, and a nice little park on site. The school pool which is available for guests was an added bonus but the beaches at QC pass were so close by too. A wonderful stay. We'll come back again next time with our tent to stay longer.

Friendly, helpful and warm welcome (free and warm banana muffins!!). Encouraged glow worm walk with helpful hints on other available activities. Allowed us to use Rangers discount even though we could not find the coupon on our phone (thank you for trusting us). Facilities were kept very clean - I think she cleaned twice a day and the campground was not even full! Overall a wonderful experience!
