Holdens Bay Holiday Park is a fully-equipped campground with motel style units, cabins, powered and camping / tent sites.
It's great for family accommodation with a full range of facilities available including a playground, trampoline, volleyball net, outdoor swimming pool and indoor hot pools all free of charge. Along with kitchen facilities, coin operated laundry, BBQ areas, SKY TV lounge, games room and free internet access.

Just a good campsite with nothing special.
Friendly staff!Location pretty good because no sulfer smells here.
Keep in mind that you're close to the airport so don't be surprised by low flying planes.

One of the better campsites we experienced and with the special deal offered of NZ$18 per person it was also a very reasonable price. Located not far from the airport means that you do occasionally get the noise from low flying aircraft - but they are commuter traffic arriving at 3 main times with workers and tourists! The facilities were great - clean and functional. The campsite wasn't full - it is large and roomy - so although Rotorua is a tourist destination it still didn't feel crowded. There are shops nearby if you need supplies and the main commercial centre is a short drive down the road. We were very happy with the setup and facilities and I would recommend the site to anyone who doesn't want to be located right in the centre of town.

Great crew, decent space and it wasn't filled up, but hot pools were available and showers and all was great.
We paid 18$ pp, which is in the somewhat expensive end, but rather that then support other cheap option accused of harassment and racism. Beside, Rotorua is rather busy and full of activities, which the crew is happy to tell you all about.

Bit pricey for what it is and no non powered sites for non powered campervans. Good facilities and nice BBQ area.

This is the worst camp ive ever experienced ants throughout cabin solution by manager take a can of fly spray to kill them after changing rooms kitchen appliances were missing rusty knives dirty plates the campsite lawns are good but the cleanness of the property would rate -0 the main lounge tv room area bins floors not cleaned after 8 days toilet block disgusting I resorted to showering at a relatives home the reception staff were not helpful and to be honest very rude i would highly recommend to any one saying here don't

This was a great place to stay. Everything from the toilets and hot showers, to the pool (unheated!) to the hot pools (two!), to the kitchen and playground, and the wonderful staff were spot on.
The only niggling negative would be that it’s right under the flight path for the airport, however I was there most of the day and there were only two flights.
It’s in a quiet neighborhood which is a plus, but a long way from services so be prepared.
I would stay multiple days here if needed.

Friendly site with very helpful reception staff. Decent sized pitches, facilities were fine and it was quiet. The nearby airport wasn’t really noticeable.
