One of the best Holiday Parks in the North Island. The facilities are clean. The sites are a good size for a larger caravan. Todd and Nola are very friendly hosts. Plenty to do in the area from bike rides to walks with a beautiful beach just waiting out front to explore.

We have stayed at Ohiwa Beach Holiday Park a few times now, during different seasons and it is always a great experience no matter what the weather is doing. The staff are friendly and helpful, the facilities are clean and tidy and it has a homely and welcoming feel.

Loved this location and venue and the hosts we're equally as lovely.
Great for beach, bush walks, ocean/coastal views, glow worms, waterfall, peace and quiet, safe for families, kayaking and fishing
Very clean well looked after premises, comfortable beds. We stayed in the tourist flat which looks out to the beach and ocean, fully self contained with kitchen(not include oven) and bathroom ensuite. Linen provided
There are great shared facilities, a games room, trampoline, pool, kitchens, bathrooms, laundry, playgrounds and fish stations, all well looked after.
Loved off peak season and it's so fairly priced. Just take food if you go for self contained units 😊

wow great holiday park as we remember it , we hadn't been back there for a number of years but the standards of camp ground facility's are out standing tidy ,clean, really well presented . we do a lot of holiday camping whether its tenting or cabins when time lets us get away from the farm . The camp Managers were friendly and chatty and out there working hard to improve camp grounds etc.

cheers Ohiwa

My favorite campground in New Zealand. It's clean, has got spacious sites for campervans, motorhomes and caravans. Free wifi, showers 0.50$.
Staff is always very friendly and helpful. Bring your own pots and kitchen utensils, as there are none in the kitchen.
The beach is stunning. I came for one night and ended up staying six. Could be busy at weekends and will be packed in holidays but quiet at night nonetheless.
23,50 $ ppn powered site.

Our first caravaning holiday and we picked an awesome site, nice friendly staff and great walks and rides in the area. WiFi was poor but I believe a clean site is more important than that.

Lovely site with great facilities. Good views from Bush Walk and lots of bird life at low tide. Not cheap. Credit cards 3% surcharge (doesn’t encourage European visitors where its outlawed) and showers extra. Shop closed at 5pm. Petty things that detract from 10

Do not rent Tourist Flat 1. The online photos are from Tourist Flat 2 which is bigger. We feel this is misleading advertisement as you expect the tourist flats to be similar in size. Flat 1 is too small for 3 people. Bunk bed ladder health and safety issue as you cannot get in a safe way in and out of the bed. There is no space for bags. Rat trap at back of unit. Noise during day and evening from glass recycling. In the first day there were fireworks at night. Wifi worked only intermittently on Android tablet, not on Android phone or Windows 10. Wifi so unreliable that after a while we used mobile hotspot on Android mobile phone. TV cable broken and shield wires sticking out. Had to buy rope in local hardware shop to hang our wash on.
Be very careful with the kitchen hub. It looks like an induction hub but it is not. The hub stays very hot for a long time and you can see something glowing under the glass while cooking.
We expected a bit more from a cabin paying almost $200 per night and decided to leave one day early.
