One of the nicest campgrounds I’ve ever stayed at. Owners were friendly and helpful. Location is incredible. Facilities were so clean you could eat off the toilet floor.

$40 for two people per night for non powered spot. Large kitchen and area for eating inside. Standard toilets. Not that pretty as a campsite, no scenic views. Furniture and everything was a bit outdated but seemed like a standard holiday park. Good location on the way to hot water beach and cathedral cove. Arrived after 6pm so just parked up and payed in the morning. Nothing special really.

Went to investigate “Cathedral Cove” today. Thousands of people crammed into caravan park. Came here, 20 min away, plenty of space, half the price, and will head to the cove in the morning.

One of the cheaper spots around here, still not cheap. Free spades for hot water beach. Showers take 50 Cent for 6 minutes hot water. Everything clean. Laid back and super friendly staff. Late check out possible if you ask nicely. Would definitely stay here again.

Very friendly staff member, helped us out with where to stay elsewhere in Nz. Borrowed a spade for hot water beach and the showers were really nice (currently being refurbed).
We were arriving late so they just told us to find a space and sort everything in the morning so worked out great for us

Friendly manager who lent us a spade for Hot water Beach and gave great advice on parking and tides etc. Not much of a view from the standings though. Good clean toilets & showers.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! The managers are vile, unstable and abusive people who are unfit to be running a campsite! Would NEVER recommend.

Almost no competition in this area which is probably why we had to pay $40 for a non powered site for two (mid Dec). Wifi only for 30 mins and shower is 50 cent. Stayed only because we had no alternatives.

We stayed one night and the site had everything we needed. It was $20pp and then additional 50cents (money goes to charity) for each hot shower. The site seemed keen on reducing its carbon footprint and saving water. Much quieter that the other sites in the area as it is further away from beaches and attractions.

Beautiful campsite! Hot showers cost 50c but all goes to charity, free wifi and very nice and helpful staff. Close to Hot Water beach and Cathedral Cove Coastal Walk. Lots of backpackers who didn't leave the kitchen very neat/clean. On the campground is also a small brewery with nice craft beer en simple bites for dinner (fish and chips, burgers, etc.) If we ever come back to NZ we would definitely stay here again!

We stayed here for one night and were very annoyed as we definitely paid too much for what we got. Unfortunately there aren't any other options for camping in this area.
The kitchen is way to small as there were many work and holiday backpackers around, so not enough space. Only two showers of which one didn't even work and there was no "out of order sign" or anything. And you have to pay 50 cent for 5 minutes additionally. We wouldn't stay there again.
Each camping location is approved by a regional council in NZ. So if it shows on the map, you’re allowed to stay.

Super overpriced, but there's not a ton of options in this area for cheap camping. The 30 minutes of free wifi is only for one device per party (even if you pay for more than one person), so use your minutes wisely!

We paid 44 for an unpowered site in the beginning of January. This holiday park is in a great location, convenient to Hot Water Beach in particular, and the on-site brewery is very tasty for dinner and drinks. They will hire you a spade for the beach here as well, a nice touch. Showers are limited to 6 minutes for 50 cents, but at least the proceeds go to charity! A perfectly fine, clean, and welcoming site overall but nothing outstanding.

We had a pleasant stay. Kitchen was a bit basic, some of the hobs didn't work and could do with some cleaning utensils. There could also be better organisation of rubbish separation ie a sign advising recycling bins are outside the kitchen so everyone doesn't throw everything into the organic bin in the kitchen. Toilets and showers were ok, $0.50 for a 6 minute hot shower, the proceeds to go charity. :) Fantastic location ie near Hot Water bBeach and Cathedral Cove.

Great campsite. Very friendly staff and great facilities. Liked the fact that the 50 cents for the showers go to a good cause of choice, 4 different choices! Nice, remote location. Recommended spot to stay at!

Great to access the Coramandel Peninsula!
More of a hostel feel to the kitchen and bathroom facilities in comparison to other campsites we visited around NZ.
You need to pay 50 cents for a 6 minute shower.
The on-site bar is worth a visit for good home-brewed beer but it is expensive!
Very welcoming host!

This park was nice and quiet. Amenities were good, but had to press a button on the showers after 5 minutes to keep the hot water going (and the button was on the outside of the shower door). The kitchen and laundry was good. Had to pay to wash and dry the clothes. Powered sites were reasonably priced and the service was friendly.

This was good for a night. It was $20 per person per night in March 2016 for an unpowered site, which included one free hot shower and 30 minutes of WiFi. The kitchen was fully equipped. It's nice having the brewery/pub on site. The beers we tried were excellent and the food looked tasty.

The powered sites are very small and no privacy between them. There is only one shower and one toilet each in the main building next to the powered sites. You've to put the coins for the showers in the machine outside the shower. Very small kitchen.

Nice host. If you come after 8 pm you can pick a spot and pay in the morning. We got two coins for the showers in off season, so just ask. Off-season it is $17 per person for unpowered, $19 per person powered and low season $22 per person powered, all for campers. Nice kitchen. Restaurant also open till 8pm in off season, has own brewed beer. You can taste 5 for $12.50.

A campsite in the countryside but at the crossroads to Hahei (Cathedral Cove beach and Hot Water Beach) and Whitianga .... perfect to visit both in the day. A restaurant is just behind the campsite. The premises are nice and new, a nice TV/common living room, a kitchen with everything needed, a beautiful terrace with BBQ, few showers - but clean .
Cons, you need tokens for five minutes of hot water and the washing machine and dryer ($4).

Great!!! This Holiday Park is without any doubt highly recommended! Compared to other camp grounds in that area it's cheap ($16 per person powered site). WiFi is free! We got two shower tokens as well. Good kitchen with everything you need and the facilities are clean. Super friendly staff that takes time for everybody to show them (us) around. And the best: it is the first time, in our 4 months stay in NZ, that the dryer is really drying a full load!!!! The location is good to get to Hot Water Beach etc.
Seabreeze Holiday Park responds:
Hello Daniel, and thank you very much for taking the time to give us a fabulous review. We are pleased that you both had a wonderful time visiting us and the Coromandel. Great to hear that what we have to offer is greatly appreciated by our guests as that is what we aim for. Hope the rest of your journey goes well.

Good location, free wifi and free shovels for hot water beach. Friendly owners are very helpful. Perhaps a little bit expensive for the facilities as only get 5 minutes for showers. Good location for hot water beach.
Seabreeze Holiday Park responds:
Many thanks indeed Stephanie for your review. Feedback is good and allows us to work on guests concerns. Happy to note that you had a good time here at our Holiday Park and that you took advantage of using some of the free amenities we offer to our guests.
We wish you well.

Thanks Roland, sorry we missed responding to your review sooner. Glad to hear you enjoyed the Brewery and Restaurant food. Always good to know.

I really loved staying at this place, probably one of my favourite parks I've stayed at either in the North or South Island. Location-wise it's perfect, right near Hot Water Beach, Cathedral Cove, and cute little weekend markets. The facilities were great; clean and numerous. The wifi was good, and the atmosphere was quiet and relaxed. The highlight for me would have to be the two managers, Gloria and Pete, who were friendly, incredibly helpful, and made my stay very enjoyable.
Seabreeze Holiday Park responds:
Hi Annabel, Will pass on your kind words to Gloria and Pete as they have now retired and moved away from the Park. Thank you so much for your fabulous review and we hope you will come back and pay us another visit some time.
Take care, from the new Managers Marlene and Rob.

Nice and friendly people, close to many well-known beaches. Would be better to have more trees to provide some shade. Has a cozy TV room and an eating area. With a nice restaurant with homebrew beer. There is also a small playground for the kids.

Hi Atilio, Very sorry about the delay in responding to your review. Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay here with us at the Park and checked out the brewery and restaurant. We note your concern over the lack of shade.- the trees are growing !.

Staff frendly and helpful. Nice small campsite although a lot of extension work and development seemed to be going on for the future. Good facilites although shame the hot water on the token operated showers was just a little too short. Located next to the highway but still quiet at night and not far from Hahei beach and Cathedral Cove.
Seabreeze Holiday Park responds:
Thank you for your review, and trust you enjoyed the rest of your time in the Coromandel and NZ.
We too are excited about our current development/building project of a boutique brewery/cafe/ restaurant .
We anticipate opening in March "13! Watch this space! Thanks again.

Too expensive for offered facilities. Same price at Top 10 campground directly at the beach.
Seabreeze Holiday Park responds:
Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry you found our fees expensive , we constantly have the opposite feedback with our guests saying we offer great value for money. Other local camps including the top 10,often send guests to us when they don't wish to pay the higher fees at their camps.
Trust you enjoyed The Coromandel .

Expensive for what it offered.
I can see why it's nice if you stayed in the chalet, but for a campervan the facilities offered were very limited and it was expensive for what it was, as for the seabreeze that far in land, I doubt it.
In hindsight, should have stayed at Hot Water Beach Top 10.
Seabreeze Holiday Park responds:
Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry you didn't enjoy our peaceful rural park, and "kiwi" camping experience, all just 7-8 mins drive from Hotwater beach. We believe our fees provide great value for all guests whether camping or in a self contained chalet, including our huge list of FREE and unique items. e .g Studio gym workout, snorkel gear for the local snorkel trail.

Well where to start. My partner and myself stayed at the seabreeze holiday park on the 27th and the 28th of August 2010 and we loved the place. Firstly, the communication from Dawn was excellent, as we booked through the internet, she was prompt with email responses. Secondly, when we arrived after a very long drive, we were treated like a visiting royal couple, and at the managers/ owners discretion we were offered an upgrade from the room we had booked at no extra expense. Thirdly, the place was very clean, and the kitchen was stocked with every imaginable cooking implement you could imagine, and the bathroom was also very clean. Fourth, we felt like we were at home as the place was very relaxing. Fifth, the atmosphere and the set up of the place was very country like, with the place being converted from a dairy farm to a holiday park.I could go on but overall I would recommend the seabreeze to anyone wanting affordable, clean accommodation in the Corromandal.

Thank you for your positive feedback, it was our pleasure to have you stay!

Thank you for your feedback, we value all comments, positive and negative. I am sorry you found us expensive as compared with other camps on the Coromandel we believe our charges are very fair for what we offer our guests e.g Sky TV, spades for Hotwater beach, snorkel gear for Cathedral Cove,BBQs, gym.
