My wife an I have stayed at Katikati Naturist Park several times, latest just last month. As usual we stayed in one of the self contained chalets, perfect as usual, as were the grounds, facilities, co-naturists n caretaker. We booked in for new
years. Absolutely recomend
GO NATURAL - with Roundup. This place used to be a slice of paradise and we have been visiting for many years since 1998, but it appears to be going downhill. Roundup seems the most preferred option for ground-care. Maintenance issues left right and center, grass in gutter, garden tap leaking obviously for months, broken tap domes in kitchen, shower head falling off on first use in chalet, ripped fabric on chair, 2 out of four soap trays in communal shower broken, milk in fridge past use by date. Rubbish bin in communal kitchen not emptied from Thursday before Labour Weekend until Tuesday after, overflowing. Five Stars for location, but none for service. Our friends were running minutes late for the office knock off time of 7pm on the day people would arrive for a long weekend after work... We were assured, that they were not let in, if they arrived 5 minutes after 7. I had to pay for them 3 minutes to 7 to secure the key and their access for the weekend. The "co-manager" would gladly have left them stranded. When I questioned, if she understood the term "HOSPITALITY", we were called an arrogant ....... and it was yelled after us: "Don't bother coming back..." Rest assured - we won't!!
We would normally have gladly looked past the odd maintenance issue - but overall: This is not good enough!
I came to this place for a bit of quiet time and decided to have a massage with the lady on-site and WOW!!! It was the absolute best massage I’ve ever had. After that I asked her if she could do my waxing as well and I don’t know why but it didn’t hurt as much as my usual waxing at all. In fact I nearly fell asleep while having a wax. I highly recommend that if you have any waxing to be done, safe it until you’re there. Louise is clearly well qualified and experienced in both massage and waxing. What a pleasant and unexpected surprise.
The massage and wax I had was FANTASTIC.
We really enjoy the safe and easy going vibe at Katikati naturist park. It is well run by Tom and Ami, with excellent coffee & baked goods at the office every day.
Facilities are good, you can camp, choose a caravan, a chalet, a kitchenette unit and and there is access to shared ablutions block and kitchen. You can laze by the pool, enjoy a spa or sauna, or play a range of outdoor games like mini golf, inside games like pool or chill out & watch the tv in the main common area. You can do as little or as much as you like.
We enjoy the fact that many guests are regulars and love the freedom of being naked in a hassle free environment.
Would recommend if you are interested in trying out the naturist experience that you give this place a go.
Friendly staff, good weather, nice place and Katikati well reachable by car.
Facilities ok and value for money!
My wife and I spent a week here, staying in one of their chalets. Quite adequate for a week's stay with en-suite bedroom and kitchenette. Everywhere very clean and well managed by Tom and Ami. Swimming pool on site and a naturist beach close by. Also a delightful stream on the site to relax by!
Very friendly welcome. Just visited the Swedsh delights cafe. Good coffee, nice cardamon cake. Looking forward to staying over in the park. Its a gorgeous site, weve been before but are keen to see how it is with the new owners. Also keen to try out the therapies on offer.
Katikati Naturist Park is a wunderfaul place, really a kind of paradise. The cabins are well equipped, everything is clean. Ami and Tom are friendly an engaged. Thank you! Dorothea and Herbert (just back home)
Great stay! First time in a naturist camp but were made to feel extremely welcome! Everyone was super friendly, such a relaxing atmosphere.
Lots to do, the best campsite we have stayed at!
Thanks Tom and Ami!
A truely private and relaxed paradise in this gorgeous country of ours. Tom & Ami make you the most important part of the naturist park and are just so delightful and down to earth they are always about makiing sure you stay is a pleasant one. If you wish to wake up to the birds singing and the serenity of the rural atmophere then you will love this place to bits as we do. The spa's swimmimg pool and barbarcues are awesome and free to use as is the abultion block and kitchen area.
A wonderful place to relax, Just finished spending 20 nights camping in a powered site there :)
Always a pleasure to return and enjoy everything that the place has to offer. Great people and great stories to share and if you visit you must check out the river near the glades...so peaceful listening to the river and soaking up the sun.
So sad to see Kevin and Joan go but a job well done to you both for the many years you have made this place a joy to come back too, enjoy your retirement to you both :) And welcome to the new owners.
I will be back for sure for another long stay.
This is a wonderful place if you wish to relax in a clothing optional facility. The freedom of being clothing free is like no other. Great facilities, well kept grounds. Plenty of gorgeous trees to lie under if you wish, plus a lovely cool river to put your feet in. The spas are wonderful. A very relaxed atmosphere. My man and I have stayed here a few times now. Will definitely be back. I highly recommend it.
Tried naturism for very first time and was made to feel so welcome and at ease, such a relaxed atmosphere and everyone so friendly we just forgot we were not wearing clothes and it felt so natural to swim cloths free the camping facilities and the spa and swimming pool are first class the experience was so good that we have already book to go back again
I would use this place if I wasn't intending to go clothes free.
Fabulous naturist getaway. The facilities are sparkling clean and easily accessible. The new managers are very friendly and happy to assist. There's nothing nicer than a nighttime swim followed by a hot spa and fabulous conversation with other likeminded people. Thanks Kevin and Sharon, I will definitely be back.
The only place to stay if you want to feel comfortable being nude.
I will be back as soon as I can to tent there again for another 5 nights.
Spent time at KNP recently, It's amazing what the owners Kevin and Joan Samson have done there - beautiful gardens that attract native birds, spas, sauna and swimming pool, ultra clean ablution blocks and kitchen facilities that are all included in a most reasonable price for your stay. Would go back again any time.
We stayed at this naturist park around mid November for several days. The park was easy to find from Katikati since there is an official motorhome/caravan park sign on Highway 2 at Wharawhara Road intersection. We found this to be the best kept and cleanest park of the 12 we visited on our 30 day holiday. The facilities were centrally located from all sites. The camp map was easy to follow. I was impressed by the overall layout of the campground and the story of what it started out as 20+ years ago. We enjoyed the hot and hotter tubs and the shape and depth of the pool. I don't swim and getting wet gradually appealed to my wife. After two rounds of miniature golf, we had found another thing to do nude! The ablution block was modern, clean and bright. We met a variety of friendly people of all ages from South Africa, Germany, Romania, England, and Maori and Kiwis. We will be back again.
I have been to many holiday parks but have to say this is the cleanest, best kept park I have come across. The managers, Kevin and Sharon, really put their heart into their work. The fascilities are outstanding. The park is a beautiful large garden with fragrant flowers and does not have that typical caravan park feel. I stumbled upon it by coincidence and just keep coming back. This is one park not to pass by.
Awesome weekend. Wonderful river and pool area. Nice and quiet it is a naturist retreat. Kevin and Sharon made us feel right at home with a wonderful welcome and we are planning our return very shortly.

Wonderful campsite with plenty of space between the caravans. Hot water pool, hot water shower, kitchen and BBQ - and everything was very clean. A small river borders the site. We liked the place so much that we have stayed there twice.
$30 per van. Sauna and swimming pool, spa, big kitchen, a nice place with naked guys.
Cheap ($30), a lot of free facilities, mini golf, spa, sauna, swimming pool...... but naked of course!

I spent a very enjoyable night here last week. I stayed in the motel room and was pleasantly surprised at the room, cleanliness and the over all comfort. The main bed was just divine. Kevin and Joan were very helpful and a delight to meet. You will not be disappointed here. I can't wait for summer, I will be a regular visitor.

We have been coming here with our family for some 15 years now and have allways had a relaxing holiday.
Just spent 4 days last week in the Park Motel, fully recharged the batteries again. Thanks again Kevin & Joan, you run a superb facility.
Great place, been there a few times now. Always friendly, always happy. Wonderful place to spend a few relaxing days.
One of the most beautiful campsites in new zealand. We stayed there twice yet and we will stay there again in Feb. 2012. It is a lovely place with a lot of space, affordable Internet, nice pool and free spa and mini golf and a lot of other stuff.
This is the best park I have visited in fact I bought a caravan on site and use it as much as possible. Kevin and Joan run the place with great enthusiasim and I want to thank them for great past experiences and also for the future. They are just so friendly and helpfull. Thanks
