UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT. A hidden gem only 40 minutes from Auckland CBD & airport. Clarks Beach Holiday Park (New Zealand) is a beautiful, spacious family camp on the shores of the Manukau Harbour with panoramic views of the adjacent golf course and beach.

Clarks Beach Holiday Park has plenty of things to do with a covered swimming pool, mini-golf, TV/games room, and there are also pedal carts for hire. Clarks Beach also happens to be a great fishing and scallop-gathering spot. Birdwatching; spot grey heron, black wing stilts, pied oyster catcher, kingfishers.

Clarks Beach Holiday Park has a variety of affordable holiday accommodation including motel units and kitchen cabins, cabins suitable for groups of up to 42 people plus our lodge sleeping 16 persons, plus spacious powered campervan sites and tent sites.

Clarks Beach Holiday Park is a quiet secluded spot tucked away in peaceful surroundings yet it is only a short drive to many of Auckland's major tourist attractions such as Rainbow's End, Pukekohe Raceway, Spookers Haunted House and Maze and 5 golf courses all within 20 minutes of the park.

Pet-friendly by prior arrangement (for power and tent sites only).

We stayed Easter weekend 2022. We had a self-contained caravan site. Our site was very nice - probably one of the best in the camp, grass was well mowed etc and gravel to park caravan on. The pool isn’t heated so very cold to swim in although the kids had a dip. The showers and toilets were dated but clean. Friends had a cabin which for $200ish per night really deserves an upgrade. Very convenient for golfers and those that like to fish. A lot of permanent sites which were unoccupied so not a super friendly atmosphere although we made friends with our lovely neighbours!!

We stayed there for a week recently. Lovely and friendly staff. All facilities are clean. Very handy for campers for cooking as pans, ovens, stove, BBQ are all available. Toilets are clean, shower pressure is great. Great play ground for kids. Only downside was there was a big group of camper came to the site towards the end of our stay, they were not friendly and respect to other campers on the site. Kids were swearing to other kids in playground; kids made racial comments towards other kids; people played loud music in the kitchen while they were cooking, even when other asked them to lower the volume of the music, they just ignored. We complained to the office, we were told they already had a word with them. Maybe the management team can set up some rules for big group of campers when they arrive. Other than that, great place for camping.

A beautiful place, ideal to stay with arrival or departure from Auckland. Very nice owners, friendly and with the right sense of humour. Bathrooms are not new, but very clean. No extra cost for hot water. A small indoor pool is ideal for swimming.

A small but clean and friendly park. Good place to tidy up a van before departing NZ. Dump station onsite and a spot in the kitchen to donate left over supplies. Lounge area has a book swap, TV and table tennis. Petrol available nearby. Facilities clean and showers nice and hot.

Well maintained and clean site in every aspect. Great beach. Even a place to clean fish for those who go go fishing in the bay. If you need some rest before returning your campervan in Auckland this is the place to go. Friendly staff, always helpful when information and sightseeing recommendation is required (thx Ferdi!). Don't miss Manukau Heads Lighthouse and the peninsula!

We paid 44 for a powered site for our camper van in early January. We chose this particular place because a few others closer to Auckland were already booked, and here they answered the phone! We were very pleased with this find for our first night in NZ. The location is lovely, with some very nice facilities (including a pool), obviously a family-friendly place as many Kiwis were having a fun holiday weekend. There are views of the water from some spots on this site. Pretty friendly. There is a great takeaways shop a short drive away.

Up the road by the fish and chip shop there is also a cafe and a lovely restaurant for those that would like a night off cooking on their last night. They do have Monday and Tuesdays off though. Thank you for the positive review.

Many permanent campers, clean sanitary building and kitchen. Women's showers definitely need an update.

Clarks Beach Holiday Park responds:

Our permanent campers don't live here, they have a holiday camper or unit to be used for holiday purposes.
We have just upgraded the women's showers a few months ago. They are now running on gas and have good pressure. We also took out the old panels and shower heads and put some new ones in the shower cubicles.
We have now put in new toilets for the Men's and Women's shower block.

We spent one night here at the end of December and had a small space for our van, powered for two cost us $42. The location is great but there is nothing around, no shops, no restaurants in walking distance. But we didn't have to pay for the shower and it was good and hot. The owner was very friendly and helpful.

Nice spot, the staff are very helpful and friendly, a lot of space, only one negative point was that the female showers are not very good.

There are some bad reviews about this Holiday Park's managers/owners however it is under new management now and there are NO cameras in the toilet/showers. The new owner Suzannah said that the first thing they did was to remove them and she was pleasant and helpful. The amenities are clean and functional but the park as a whole could do with a touch of modernisation. We only stayed for 1 night but it was the most expensive paid park we stayed at during our 9 day central North Island tour and it was the only one where we had to pay to have a shower and the meters seemed to give mixed results. The Clarks Beach area is beautiful, just wish we had more time and my boat to go fishing there.

Clarks Beach Holiday Park responds:

On consultation with other parks in the Auckland /Franklin district our prices are the same or lower.
As new owners we are aware of the need for modernisation and we have begun to work on this. All suggestions are appreciated.
2018 the showers are now part of the fees to stay so no extra payments required anymore.
