One of the most beautiful campsites I've stayed at. Amazing gardens, glow worms and the chance to spot a kiwi down the road. They even let us borrow a high power red torch to spot the kiwis. Can not recommend enough!

Gorgeous camp in bush surrounded on all sides by streams. We were here in winter but you can picture how amazing it would be floating along the river in summer. Great communal kitchen lounge and log fire to warm us while watching rugby with other campers. Trounson Kauri Park nearly to visit and do 40 minute easy walk to see giant kauri. At night feed the eels and see the glowworms at the camp. You can walk yourself in Trounsen forest to see kiwi. Need infrared torch.

Incredible spot! Tracey who welcomed us on made us immediately feel at home, the entire camp ground is spotless with lots to keep you entertained from a flying fox to a mean as eel spotting location on the creek. Dog friendly (with permission), full kitchen including ovens you can use and a laundry! Loved it so much and can’t wait to come back

We cannot recommend this place enough! The campsite is in a beautiful location in a forested valley with (swimmable/tubable) rivers on 3 sides. The facilities are clean and well maintained and there is a great range of activities to keep the kids (and adults) busy, even for the water shy (trampolines, playground, ping pong, games and more). The nightwalk is very exciting even if you don’t see a Kiwi bird, Chris will guide you safely and competently through the forest! Both him and Jane were lovely hosts who went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. 12/10

Lovely campsite surrounded by water. Owners and staff friendly and helpful. Facilities are good and clean but due to construction costs they can’t expand them so they are busy. Very convenient for the kauri forests. Good for kids. Tubing, swimming, play park and tractor rides.

This was a beautiful site with lovely facilities for cooking & sitting. Love how NZ camps provide tea towels, washing up liquid etc. compared to the UK. Great access to Trounson Park to see the Kauri trees. Spacious sites.

Got to be the smartest site we have been to in a month. Everything was hyper clean and tidy.
Very peaceful. We parked up beside the very pretty stream and had the whole field to ourselves. Would certainly go back. $44 for two adults unpowered.

VERY nice Holiday Park. The kitchen and bathrooms are all in great shape and are very well maintained. You can tell the owners really care about keeping customers happy. We stayed in a cabin on an unusually hot evening in April and the owners offered us a stand up fan to use, which made it so much better! We also did the nature walk which was really great! We didn't see any kiwi, but we did hear several of their mating calls. It was very informative and interesting. Highly recommend this place!

Good place. Clean and tidy. Plenty of ground to kick a ball (in winter), trampoline, flying fox and river.....great for the kids. A little sterile for us. It has good kitchen and laundry plus BBQ and gas stove outside. But the guided night walk was great full of information, even if we didn't see a kiwi it was still great.

The site is well maintained and has excellent facilities - but is also quite expensive ($48NZD for 2 people at a powered site). The Trounson Forest is 4 km away for a nice walk between mighty Kauris, and there should be kiwi birds as well at night.

Went to this holiday park last week in a small camper van. Because of the season there were few people around (my kind of holiday). The park setting is divine and our 2 children loved the playground and flying fox. Facilities are clean and tidy and the outside cooking pagoda is a great addition. Staff were friendly and helpful. We will be keen to try it again in our tent in the warmer weather.

What a stunning place and the all the native trees been re-established. The owners do an excellent job and I take my hat off for them. The park is located in a very rural area and 1000x better than DOC camps. Labour is not freely avai;able and the owners are responsible - some people does not appreciate this. Late check-inns and not being prepare when you go to parks are not the owners problems - yu can not see your bank manager at night, why do you need kitchen utensils that time of the night from the ownwer and still give a bad report. Wake up and respect park owners. You should enjoy the lovely kiwi walk that time of night and become one with God nature. this park is a 10/10 and very unfairly 5/10 as by other visitor arriving after hours..

Nice park, well set out, but operators very surly. We had to leave after only 1 day due to death of a business associate. The owner was quite unpleasant when we told them. The cabins are nice and spacious, but the bunk beds in ours creaked and rattled so badly my daughter ended up in the double bed with me! The kitchen area is not well planned or equipped. You have to ask the owners/operators for basic equipment, and if you arrive late, you have to do without. Would not recommend this place.
