A very nice walk. The walk has amazing views. At the end you see Mt Cook and the Glacier lake.
It is a beautiful walk with breathtaking views, There are many waterfalls around. There are benches and tables for picnics with a wonderful view of Mt Cook and the glacier lake.
The track could be expanded on the leftside so you are able to see the lake from a different/better angle.
Beautiful views over the glacier, 20 minute walk from the carpark, great photo taking opportunities.

Absolutely beautiful, the view.
Quick walk to a nice viewpoint over the Glacier. Able to see icebergs in the lake and boats sailing across.
Short walk and nice view. Less crowded than other tracks.

Shorted than the popular Hooker Valley track, the Tasman Lake offers a lot in less time. The view of the glacier lakes with the icebergs is really nice and actually better than on the Hooker Valley track. The light blue water is beautiful too (if you have a little sun). The nearby Blue Lakes walk is an easy add on, but we preferred this one.
A one of a kind experience seeing the icebergs up close - came for sunrise - was incredible watching the first light hit the mountains!
The stairs up to the viewing deck will get you winded, but the climb is worth it! So cool to see a glacial lake with icebergs floating in it.
Very short walk to see the Lake Tasman. Very steep. Very say to see how short the glacier is today.
Very steep and short walk. You can see icebergs!
Very nice walk and in the middle a lake!
Got up early and had the place to ourselves. Beautiful views the whole time, ending in a great view of Tasman Glacier. Too far to be too close, but the walk was beautiful nonetheless.

Best bit is the fork in the track to the Tasman River. Quiet and can see the lake and icebergs up close whist seeing the glacier terminal.
Beautiful surroundings but the destination was a bit of a let-down as the glacier has receded so much and no icebergs - likely due to time of year.
Nice walk, 3 hours return, but really touristic. We saw a bit of the glacier (300 metres), was good for not so trained person.
3 hours, great walk with baby on the back, impressive scenery.

Really nice view of the lake. Really impressive to see the huge icecrushers.
The icebergs were very small on April but The scenery was stunning. Be careful when you drive !!
Beautiful view from the Summit. Only observation - although a 20 minute short walk, very steep climb and so unsuitable for elderly.

Glacier, lake, river, nice walk.

Awesome views, you do not have to stay there.
Beautiful walking track, iceberg on lake.
Short or long walk. Lakes and spectacular views of the mountains.
the glacier is not that beatifull, but the scenery and the floathing ice in the lake are special. If you have plenty of time, than go here. If you have little time, than think twice about this glacier walk and make sure you don't miss the more beatifull glaciers on the west side of the island (fox or Franz Jozef).

Impressive scenic landscape.
Short easy walk up to Tasman Glacier. Not the most stunning glacier by a long way!
30 min return, nice to do with kids! A bit of climbing to nice view.
Scenic hiking path to the Tasman Glacier and to Tasman Lake.
We walked up to a lookout over the Glacial Lake + Glacier itself. Best picnic location
A nice short walk, worth the 30 mins.
Good walk and we had perfect weather conditions. Track well maintained.
Dwarfed only in magnificence by the Hooker Valley glacier walk nearby, but no less impressive for it's "you're walking to a glacier!!!" splendour. If you can ignore the desire to shortcut "up and over" the walk around the hill, before the descending approach to the dirty Tasman glacier, you will get a nice bit of exercise in the process. Shorter than the Hooker Valley, but as essential for the visitor.
Short walk from the car park. The lake was amazing! Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area! Plus it's free!
