Great experience! We got a combo “Wet & Wild” which paid for our entry into the Hot Pools and the Kiwi Wildlife Centre. Definitely recommend
If you book a private pool & pay for it on line, take your credit card with you. Even when I showed booking and payment confirmation on my phone, together with showing the payment coming out of my bank account AND showing them id, they still made us pay again in cash (lucky husband had $100 in his pocket) and said it will be 10 days for them to refund the first credit card payment. They said it’s to stop fraud...What a joke! Over kill
The pools themselves are quite nice, though was hard to enjoy knowing we just paid $200.
Hot pools were quite crowded, water was not natural spring water but highly chlorinated. Hot pools were also not as hot as previously experienced.
I was really disappointed by the difference between what was written in the guides and the reality. Three small pools, crowded, just one personal shower, extra fees for lockers and towels.
The glacier pools are a tranquil place to relax, whatever the weather. They are fairly expensive, but your time is unlimited.

Good price, small facility but felt really intimate and enclosed. All pools were covered so was great to avoid sunburn or bad weather. Changing rooms were clean. Lockers were non refundable, which meant you could not access your belongings multiple times, so would have paid a bit more to have an easily accessible locker.
So relaxing!! Bring shampoo and a hair dryer if you want a good shower after! Have powerpoints for hair dryers. Lockers are a $2 coin or you can put your stuff in a cubby outside near you!
Beautifully landscaped pools to loll about in and warm you right through to the bones. Expensive but worth it.
Nice pools in native rainforest. Good to chill in on a rainy day. But, very expensive for backpackers/tourists. $40 per person.
Very nice after a long hiking tour but that is it.
A good relaxing moment in hot pools after a hard walking track, perfect!!
Sheer bliss! Lovely pools and facilities and I enjoyed a fantastic 1/2 hour massage while there too - was well worth it, we easily passed a couple of hours relaxing here!

Clean site and friendly people.
Thank You - to the thousands of travellers that have contributed to our Top Voted NZ Activities Map - it's free from Rankers.
Hired a private spa, worth the money great experiance.
Wonderful, relaxed, beautiful setting, expensive but worth it.

Very nice!!! Private pool for $70 (1 hour, 2 persons).
Lovely setting, very expensive for heated hot water.
Glacial Hot Springs - nice but not worth $25 each - no jets, no free lockers, nothing natural about the area, good for an expensive shower.

Private pool for an hour, perfect for couples, peaceful, relaxing and very private. After a long walk to the glaciers in the wet and cold, a great end to the day.
Beautiful surroundings, good bath, private pools are great.
A much nicer experience than Hamner Springs. They were so relaxing.
Ranking is because of the price - very expensive, could be cheaper during the day for families. Beautifully done, felt like an exclusive spa.
If there was a negative I would select it. I was told this was glacial water. It isn't! It's tap water heated with LPG. See the huge tank out the back. I want a magical experience in your bush like Taupo and Rotorua. Expensive bath water which isn't even hot. So much for your carbon reducing hot pools!
Nice place, good for a rainy afternoon.
Great to be in a private hot pool, friendly lifeguards, relaxing atmosphere.
Franz Josef Glacier. Good alternative for bad weather.
The hot pools were 3 different temps. 36; 38; and 40. They were roomy and spotlessly clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful; constantly standing by pools in case anyone was affected or overcome by the heat. It was a great way to relax and worth every penny. Even better when you arrived for the earlybird special before 5 = )

Moderate prices. Clean facilities, very nice and cosy atmosphere in the pools. Unfortunately no hair dryer for the women.
Thoughtfully designed, immaculate and the prefect way to end a day hiking. Not usually our thing but we were very impressed and loved it.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Glacier Hot Pools. It rained the whole time we were on the West Coast so we could only spend limited time at the glacier. We spent the afternoon at the hot pools instead with our two children and loved it. The pools were not crowded when we were there. Perhaps at other times of the day they are more crowded, but we had a perfect afternoon and loved it. Very clean facilities.
Nice for a few (1-2) hours hot water 'swimming'.
We paid $22:50 each to go in, they were ust ok, but not really worth the entry fee.
Very spacious pools with relaxing setting made a very pleasant stay all round. Very professional staff also.
Lovely staff, very good service. Wonderful massage! only downside was had to pay extra for lounger by pool.
Lovely after a days tramping but too expensive. Would not go back because it is cost prohibitive.
Nice setting and very clean.
Great Pools, nice showers and in walking Distance from the TOP 10 Holiday Park...
We could look at the pool to see it, it was crowed and also how is it. Good open time, clean. Nice cosy atmosphere.
Glacier Hot Pools responds:
Great feedback - thanks Adeline!
Ok, relaxing. Not that spectacular. Only 3 pools.
Glacier Hot Pools responds:
Hi Denys thanks for your feedback! The pools opened in november 2008, and yes we have three public and three private pools, by completion, the complex will have 7 public and 10 private pools!
