Ruby was a great guide - knowledgeable and friendly - no dolphins on this trip, but plenty of fur seals and bird life.

Great trip, anyone that finds themselves in Kaikoura should definitely do this - you won’t regret it! Connor was a great guide, knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife and also a great sense of humour. They provide all the gear you need so all you need to do is turn up with your camera 📷
We got up close to plenty of fur seals, swimming around the kayaks whilst sun bathing. Also great views of the bay and surrounding mountains. Thanks to the guys for running a very well organised trip.

I went on a morning paddle. The weather was perfect and we saw lots of seals up close and personal. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable and lots of fun to be with. If you are in Kaikoura and want a bit of a paddle, call Matt at Kaikoura Kayaks.

A really excellent experience for adventurous minded people who enjoy moderate exercise and wildlife. Our guide Ruby could not have been better. We had a clear briefing before setting out on our kayaking around the fur seal colony. Plenty of good sightings of the seals. Great value for money. So good I bought the t-shirt !

My wife and I are visiting New Zealand from Canada and did the Sunset Classic kayak tour with Kaikoura Kayaks. We had an excellent time kayaking around the Kaikoura Peninsula and spotted many seals as well as a blue penguin and a small albatross. Our guide Sam was great in every way; knowledgeable, approachable and funny.

Such a great tour to do whilst you're in Kaikoura! It's an awesome way to get up close and personal with the wildlife without being on a tour boat filled with other people. It was magical to be out paddling around the coast and seeing all the seals and animals in the water right beside you. Best way to see Kaikoura. Definitely recommend and Conner and Sam were great guides to make the whole tour fun but also felt nice and safe out there in the ocean. Thanks guys and see you next time I'm coming through Kaikoura! ! ✌😊

The sunset tour with Sam was excellent. They were efficient, very professional, great on safety briefings and we saw fur seals, albatross, someone else saw a little blue penguin. Plus surfing waves on the Pacific. I would highly recommend this company esp Sam is one of the best kayak guides I have encountered.
