Very well organised tour with lots of great history and stops along the way! We also did the underwater centre which was interesting but not unmissable. Comfortable boat with rain jackets on board for those daring to go under the waterfalls!

Three hour cruise on a rainy day - like almost every day on Milford Sound. Took the early boat, just 8 other people with us. Great experience! Loved all the falls and the landscape. Great guide at Milford Discovery Centre who explained a lot of interesting things.

The weather was typical, grey and raining but the Lady Bowen took us along the myriad of waterfalls. The kayaking afterwards was actually the best part, gently cruising along the lakes edge for 1.5 hours, where we were lucky to see a Tawahi Penguin - very cool!

You can see the waterfalls, from very close, they drive under them. Some really cool moments on the trip - too expensive for just a few 'nice' waterfalls.

Despite cloudy weather in spring this is still a highlight. Large amounts of roar made the waterfalls more wonderful, more dramatic and many tiny ones seeped down like veins on the cliffs. Very atmospheric, plenty of wildlife and good commentary.

We've chosen this small boat because we don't like crowds and it's been a very good choice. With this small boat they can approach the walls of the fiord, be under waterfalls and be near animals like a new zealand seals colony. It's a 2:15 cruise, enough time to enjoy the wonders of Milford Sound. The guides are very amusing. The Discovery Centre is suitable for kids only.

I was in such awe of the beauty found in Milford Sound that more than once I repeated "I am just so small in this world". It was a true WOW moment for me. The crew were super friendly, incredibly informative and really worked to make sure each one of us was well taken care of. Even tho we were on a boat it was awesome how close to nature and the animals the boat actually got us and with the guide describing everything from algae and forest life to long lost birds and seals... truly memorable and well worth the drive. We did a selfdrive and it worked out awesome to get there stopping along the way for pictures as we went.
