It is relaxing and cosy, good for families and history lovers. You get a nice view from the top. Sadly you drive the same way down, which was less exciting.

Very beautiful place and you learn about the history of the host who took 35 years to build the railway and now the public can enjoy and contribute to the nature.

One of the best things we did in New Zealand. The railway is just amazing and it is very much fun to spend one hour there. At the top you have a little break and you can watch the great landscape of Coromandel.

Varied interest - pottery made onsite, nature walks, train track made by Barry himself over many years. Barry is onsite and encourages fellow potters to work there.

Amazing experience, and all the more incredible that it had been built almost single-handed by Barry Brickell, who had no prior civil engineering experience. Well worth a detour to do this.
