Being in a wagon pulled by a tractor was pretty fun.... especially the fact that we were being driven through Cape Kidnappers and got to the Gannets Colony Reserve! Our guide was also knowledgeable not only about the gannets but also the rock formations and natural life around us. It was really enjoyable and for four hours, you totally got your moneys worth. Just make sure to bring lots of water, sunblock and food!

Doesn't sound like it but this was an excellent outing on a tractor along the beach to the bottom of the gannet colony. 20 minute walk to see the birds. Driver extremely knowledgeable about the geology, rock formations etc. 3 hours.

A very lovely trip with not many people, you will see the gannets near and have fun driving over stones and through the sea with the tractor, awesome experience for not very much money!

Very good example not only of the gannets, but also of the geological items of New Zealand.

Nice adventure with a lot of information. You should be prepared to get very wet, which maynot be very nice if the weather is a bit cold.

Excellent experience with the Gannets; birds are fantastic. Travel by tractor/trailer was great fun; Colin the guide was so enthusiastic and a great sense of humour!!
